I do not get this Black hate thing that is working in the minds of some of our own folks: I don’t want to be Black any more why blame others and a host of other complaints.
If you have that much animosity for your own then why be at this site? Why not go to your prissy lily white sites and suck up to the ones that you think have it all together, You will learn that most whites will not do anything for blacks unless whites themselves benefit.
This is from one of those white feel good sites.
We believe in the Ku Klux Klan. We believe that the founders of the Ku Klux Klan were led by divine providence and that once again just like the Klan saved the white race during "Black Reconstruction" it will arise like the great phoenix - the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan Party - to bring our people once again back from the brink of destruction. Our people led by the hand of God will once more rule our great land. A time of prosperity and racial healing - a great White Christian revival!
These are some of the same folks that do the hiring and firing at places like GM, Gateway and your local supermarket the same that police your streets and rent you your apartments the same that run for public office and the same that you do your banking with the above is just what thy think.
As a people given what we have gone thru I would say that we have and are making strides that no other race could have, we not only survive but we thrive in the face of racism no mater the environment, but some of us just see the negative and nothing else.
There is good and bad in every race our problem is not in how loud we are or how much we complain its in getting the same power to employ as thy have, in short we need an equal playing field so that we all can truly say without a doubt I have a choice.

The real issue here is that there are those who believe that being black means you have to…
Talk the same
Thing the same
Dress the same
Believe in the same things
Like the same things
Listen to the same music
(etc)
The truth of that matter is that there is no homogenous BLACK RACE. We complain about stereotypes and characterization yet we stereotype and characterize ourselves. We complain about racism yet we practice racial discrimination and degradation. *shrugz* but that is how we do.
Listen, because I disagree with a brutha/Sista does not mean I hate black people (what a joke) or that I in any way don’t want to be around black folks. Nor am I going to be the one that is apart of the applause-of-post simply because the shots and one liners were funny, or the insult was particularly scathing. My reality is that I am searching for that one site were we can hang together without becoming the animals they say that we are (I’m still searching)
Call blacks (Africans) all of the world displaced if you liked, but the reality is that what binds us together as a people, what has kept us strong and progressive is our connection, Yes, and our ability to make life out of every aspect of our reality.
Now I’ll be the first to tell you that I am not African, I’m American…but I understand, and accept the connection that I have being of African descent.
It should come as no surprise to see racial terms thrown about on other site…we all know that racism exists…what should come as surprise is to see those term on BLACK SITE. What what is an ever greater surprise is that we justify it. ha ha ha one can only laugh.
I chat on a number of different sites, and while I can tell you without a doubt racism’s foul funk it out there, of the site I frequent (that are not black sites) I have see more racial degradation HERE…than any place else….……..it took all but 3-days to be called N*****on site that is SUPPOSED to be about US….

the last time you had the flu, how did you deal with it, Did you take vitamins along with medicine? Did you stay in and eat chicken noodle broth? did you take good care of your body? Or did you hate you for having the flu?
Indeed there are some of us that hate the body because of the sickness just like some rape victim’s family hate the victim for not being strong enough to fight off the rapist.

My O My how the hell did this post get to this point?
Gentlemen I am about to get Way off topic but, I have seen Mr. Parris get beat up everywhere he post and although I disagree with a lot that he has to say he is still My Brother so are all of you. we cant just go following him around and taking potshots at him at every turn. If you don’t like what he has to say then debate him or ignore him but stop insulting the Brother.
Parris Loves to debate, he is a good debater and I am positive that he will agree with me that he loves a little controversy but calling him out of his name and worst yet not acknowledging him as human is insensitive, evil and undeserved.

AAM: The word homogeneous means composed of parts or elements of the same kind. The truth is that We share the same history, the same skin type, have our roots in the same land called Africa, our dead keep better then other races giving us a little more time to view the body, our skin is less sensitive to sun burn then other races do to the melon in our skin.

AAM: it is human nature to “Talk the same, Thing the same Dress the same, Believe in the same things, Like the same things and Listen to the same music.� this is how a people connect, how its possible to communicate ideas, it is how a people distinguishes a friend from an enemy, the same way that animals do in nature. AAM: I must disagree, Most other Black sites that I have been a member of happen to be very myopic, not to mention owned and operated by white businessmen, Black Planet is one such site. All I know is that this site gets an A+ from me.
Some of the topics that I have posted at this site have over night gone strait to popular and to tell you the truth most of my post come from post that I put up in other black sites that I have belonged to for years and receive very minimum readings and even less responses, But that is not the only thing that makes this site the best.
the moderators do not act high and mighty deleting everything that rubs them the wrong way or permanently ignoring the poster, no the mod’s are down to earth so are most of the members.
Another thing that I like about this site is that trash bend thy have, ever go to a fresh post at another Black site that angers you And all you want to do is respond to that post? So you get your Microsoft works word processor out and start to typing away the best debate/response you ever put together only to go back and find that post gone--- that sucks big time, but at this site if the topic is to disrespectful or to controversial it still has a place out of the way of the norm but close enough to respond to.
Lets not even talk about the radio it’s the best on the net.
Anyway theirs a lot that I could say about this site that is positive but theirs not enough memory in this sites server to put it all in so there it is.

RFMIW: Good post Afro American Man, I agree with almost everything you've said except the part about the American Flag.
AAM: I understand the flag thing and I had to think hard about my convictions before I put it up.
The American flag has a way different meaning for me then it has for the White Man, when I see the flag I see 400 years of Black backs building America 400 years of building what the Whitman could not physically do for himself.
The American flag represents Black strength, without a Black Back this Country would not exist.

Peace brother, good to see you,....good post; however, I think in your responses you were reaching...............really reaching..............far reaching.
To say that we hav similarities is true......to say that we are all the say is false (and to be honest a little funny). YOu have grouped the black race in such a huge umbrella that it would lead one to believe that we all ver speak the same launge...., I'll adress that later.

I agree with you there… I am an American who happens to have African ancestors and I will wave that flag with pride. I would fight for this country and protect it in anyway that I can. For it was my forefathers who built this county and it is my brothers and sisters who are still dying to save what little freedom that we do have. And anyone who doesn’t like it can step back…

I’m talking about the freedom that I get to enjoy everyday that I wake up and walk out of my house. I’m talking of the freedom that I have to practice what ever religion that I chose to… I’m talking about the freedom that I have to get what ever education that I chose to have. You are wasting your breath
They are African...or claim to be...born and raised in Britain.....who don't live in Africa....who wouldn't fight for the white man...but who don't seem to be fighting for Africa either. The despise whitey, yet the gladly live in Whiteys' country (so they say), and they love Africa though they aren't in rush to move there. Let us not forget that they ONE DAY WILL RETURN...Yet..many of them are children of parents who left Africa (good figure)
It must be pointed out that IF America became such a dangerous place that I couldn't not raise my son and daughter (due February 14th, 2005) I would leave as well......no disrespect to their parents.
These black Brits have allowed themselves to be pushed to the fringes of British society. One proudly proclaimed "Blacks in Britain have no contributed to British society nor the building of the country" WOW they don't even know their own history in Britain....yet they know so much about Black Americans.
While black Americans influence EVERY aspect of this country from food, fashion, economics, religions, music, culture, government...they sit and Britain and...well...I'm not sure they do much of anything but complain about white people.
They don't understand the concept of love of country. One need not serve in the military to love and support his country. They think Pride in country means that we all walk around with I LOVE BUSH stickers.....they don't get the concept of loving your country, yet not agreeing will all of the decisions your country makes.
Let them keep sitting as BRITAINS not staking claim in a country that help build, AND SUPPORT....
The big brainwash is not to get a race of people to believe they are a part of the land they live.........the big brainwash is to get them to believe that they are not.
And these (some of them) are the biggest brain washed fools on earth.
