Forum: this is just to inform you that i have been advised that BOTH villages will undergo a major revamp shortly that will take approx 3/4 weeks to complete...
As many of you are aware there has been an ongoing problem with the Black Village, which unfortunately cannot be fixed with conventional means....despite best efforts..Therefore it is now necessary to completely change BOTH forums... all the current Villages/section will remain as now, as well as the posts...but with new colour schemes, and features..
The owners are hoping to add new features to the upgraded forum, therefore now would be a good time to put forward any ideas or suggestions.. I will do my best to ensure that these are (if appropriate) incoperated into the new Villages when it happens...

Suggestion: I'm not sure what its called but the forum on nappturality.com has a feature where your can have multiple quotes on one post incase you want to respond to more than one person. theres like a little + or - sign at the end of each post and when you click the +'s then add reply, all the posts that you want to reply to end up in your response. i know that was an awfull explaination but its the best I could do!

That last post thread is causing trouble with peoples bandwidth... I'll post in it and let you guys know when its best to delete it.
For real though, allow the grey forum, can't you guys have a vote or a function that lets people choose what skin they want?

And I agree with SS about being able to quote multiple posts. Right now, you would have to quote one, then copy and paste anyone else you wanted to quote, or else make multiple replies to quote individual posters.
and sometimes the first few forums are not visable when i enter the site.

2 things:
- Can their be an option when creating/editing a post or thread to view the text in either BB Code or the present stylized version?
- If the forum is going to be out of commission for 3-4 weeks, can a mass email be sent to all the BNV members telling them that the Forum is back up? In a time period of a few weeks, one might find something else to do and forget to come back. As I remember, this place lost quite a few people when it shut down before when all that madness was going on over their.

My sincere apologises...when i said 3/4 weeks i did not mean that BNV would be offline for that period.. I meant that the upgrade would take 3/4 weeks to complete... As far as I know there is not plans to take the board offline for any great period...

| speaking of mass e mails, i no longer receive e mail notifications of new posts to threads i am contributing to. I think a couple other members are having the same problem. it was good to have the notifications as it was easier than keeping track of what topics i had posted on!

| Well, I am only being presented with 3 forums, and when I click on lets say the village, I am being presented with thread from 2004. I have to click on Home link which then presents more options... It seems a though the service is limited and fickle about what it is displaying. I thought this may be part of the revamp process.

@ BFG i am having the exact same problem when i access via the BNvillage, but its fine when i go via blackchat. http://www.blackchat.co.uk/theblackforum/index.php I think it probably is something to do with the update.

@ Mods...
Will the new improved BNV allow for us to have longer quotes in our sigs and stuff? It dosen't make sence that people can have pictures half a screen long but I can't fit a 100 word quote from Malcom X into the same space.
Also it'd be nice if we all got notices when a thread is closed. For real I've been a customer for a while and think it'd be nice if someone at least told me when or if one of my threads was closed. Its like interrupting a conversation and not explaining why. Granted I can be a bit childish at times but all the other sites I've been on, although more strict in general, take the time out to explain why they decide to close a thread.

Also a sticky with info on how to use BNV. Like HTML codes and all that type of stuff. Would definately help clear up some peoples posts including some of mine as I don't know how to do all that embedding stuff and often forget the codes.
