Hi is it me or is anyone out there scared to get on a tube into london? I have to go to uni this september to do my masters. I have worked so hard to get where I am today. Ie: School, colleges, doing my degree and working while gaining work expereince and I am actually considering turning down the offer because of my fear of these tube bombings. It really upsets me because this decision will affect the rest of my life. Friends say im silly, that i could die anyway and that I should go? and so on, however none of them have to get on the tube? Has anyone been on it since? is it just me? does anyone have the same fears.

| What? you would turn down the opportunity of a life time just because of the child's play bombings that heppened in London? why? what would you do then if you lived in Palestine or Iraq....London is safe and all this news is just the propaganda of fear......if its your day, its your day.....even if you stay home...death knows no walls......so go out there girl, and if you can't stop thinking about it, just stop watching the silly news and read something funny when you are in the Tube

I know women who will not venture outdoors after dark if they are alone because they are so fearful of their safety.
I know someone who wanted to do an evening course but decided not to because of the safety aspect of finishing at 9pm and having to go home in the dark.
Some people do not let their children play outside for fear of what may happen to them.
I do not agree with living a life in fear or making your kids do it. I don't understand the notion of living a life cooped up indoors looking out of the window and experiencing life thru watching t.v.
Is life just about living for many years a risk-free, dull, boring and unfulfilling existence??

im pretty scared of my surroundings, iv lived in london al my 16 years n bare stuffs happened. i dont use the tube anymore, but stil use buses.
by showin ur totali scared it means the evil *fudging* people are winning. so dont let it get 2 u. if its your time, then so be it. live ur life 2 the full etc.

I wouldn't worry about it, what you should worry about is walking back to the tube from uni at night and getting mugged or something.
