I find the confict between "lightskinned" and average skinned and dark skinned blacks quite stupid and absurd. But one thing that I do wonder about is how come lightskinned blacks often the bigger stereotypical rubber lips that dark skinned blacks are supposed to have ?

I don't really notice this hating on darkskinned people that's being mentioned. I don't get around other black people and think that I'm treated any differently for the mere fact that I am dark-skinned. Are you solely referring to dating preferences, or the way that darker black people are treated as a whole??
p.s before anybody decides to say anything - no, I am not actually "blick", I just like the way that the name sounds and started using it online time ago. If anybody did decide that they wanted to call me blick offline though, for whatever reason, I'd know its meant to be an insult, and most likely react with an attitude, but I really wouldn't care too tough

I was wondering if anyone here has simular feelings as me, and what were their oppinions regarding my question. My question is:
Do you find black woman unattractive? Do you tend find females of other races more attractive? Since I was a little kid I've always found females of other racis more attractive than black females. African American females I never find attractive. is that wrong? is it okay and normal that I find other woman than black woman attractive? I am half black and white. My father is white and my mother African American. My dad really likes black woman even really dark skinned ones but I do not. I tend to be attracted towards girls that are cute with gold brown straight hair, white skin, thin lips, and cute straight pointy noses. Is it okay for me to feel this way? am I doing something wrong by not being unattracted to my own race. Does anyone here have simular feelings as me? What is everyone's oppinion?

U no wat, really and truly , ppl who have something against darker sj#kinned males or females must have an issue with themself. My lil sistah is dark skineed and she is beautiful. No-one can cum tell me that becos shes a couple of shades darker that she aint pretty.
I Know alot of guys who say they want a lite skinned gyal, and that their preference, but personally its all about the darker chics, they are more down to earth, dont live in the skies. Not generalising, but the majority of the lite skinned females i no, think that be-cos they r lite, they're automatically attractive. Sorry love, dont go like dat.
Anyways, i've said much of wat i want to say, if ur dark skinned, dont let no-1 put u down cos at the end of the day Black is Beauty

^^^^ i am the same in the sense that im white and im only attracted to black and mixed race girls (all shades of black i dont want to hear that crap from peeps sayin i bet he prefers light skinned girls)im not attracted to white girls at all and i cant c myself ever being with a white girl EVER i dont hate white girls in case ur thinkin that im jus not attracted to them and no its not wrong for u to like other races sexually u like what u like thats what makes U U lol

I thought i'd reply to you my friend and point out a couple of tings to you.
First of all you are not wrong to feel that way and here is y.
think about it you have been brainwashed from childhood to think that the description you have given is more attractive than those with menalin. between you and me i bet you dont even like the reflection you see in the mirror. i bet you wish you were a bit lighter etc (am I lying?)
secondly your racially confused mother has gone and got herself mixed up with your father making your confusion go even deeper but even worse has obviously neglected to educate you about what it is to be a beautiful menelated human being.
i could go on but i dont want my wisdom to fall on deaf ears so ill stop. However if i have touched a nerve and you want to know how to love yuorself again reply and i shall give you the education you have obviously been lacking

I am 15 years old and I have noticed a color line in the music videos I watch. I am Black, English, and Native American , with a medium pecan skin tone. The "video hoes" in theses videos are mostly warm brown to dark skinned women whereas the video vixens or the video leading ladies are light skinned. I think this is crazy !!!! Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that lightskinned girls shouldn't be in music videos. I'm saying that no woman, black, white, purple, green, or red should be portrayed as a hoe in a video and that it is dead wrong for only dark skinned girls to be portryed as them!!! Don't only have the dark skinned girls as the jiggly booty dancers and the light skinned girls as the golden goddess! And as a girl girl of mixed background...I think that all people should embrace all their nationalities. And as a black american, I think that we should stick together and stop beefin with each other because of somethin as stupid as skin complexion!!!!

I am neither chocolate skin nor light skinned..i am smak bang in da middle. but what im sayin is... i think darker skinned ppl hav a complex n light skinned ppl think their heavii..generalised. why is this such an issue. the more we talk bout it and acknowledge this effects us, the more we will be divided.
