Light skin sistas- the color of fresh lemons, dasies, yellow roses, and the sun shine.
Dark-skin sistas- the color of coa-coa, milk chocolate, the moon light's glow, brown suger,and a velvet panther suit.
Why hate? What happened? Think about it. How would it sound if white started hating on blonde vs brunet? That just what we sound like! hair color, skin color. light skin is pretty. dark skin is pretty.Remember School Daze? If U do, WAKE UP! Slavery is done! White people don't give a f**k! Light skin girls I know some of u don't think this, but some of u do. because not all dark girls r agaist u. don't think dark is agaist u. We feel left out by some. i'm a chocolate skinned black girl. my mother is lighter skinned but she is still black. in fact my mother's family and my dad's family, all the children have different complexions. there has always been an issue between light skinned ppl and dark skinned ppl which dates back to the slavery days. But the truth is, whether ur of the darkest shade of black, or the lightest shade, in my eyes ur still black. Black is beautiful. And when i say that, i mean all shades of black. I personally, dont go 4 a specific colour. I'm more of a personality person. I have a mixed race friend (half St.Lucian, half Irish) and she is one of my bestfriends. The best thing about my group of friends is that they are all from different nationalities. Some black, some white, some asian, some mixed but that doesn't stop us from being friends.
And we all get the same amount of attention from boys.
And just for the record, i am not a hoe! my lite skinned friend ain't a ho! my 'in between' friend aint a ho! my white friend aint a ho! my asian friend aint a ho!
Being a ho isnt about what skin colour you are, its about your sexual activity. In fact, u aint really a ho until u sell sex.
So, can we plz stop the bullsh*t about dark skinned/lite skinned girls trying 2 beef wit each others.
p.s. i actually find that some of the so called "blick" ppl are actually quite attractive and from wot i see, they do get attention from the opposite sexes.

So what would be regarded as light skinned? Will Smith, Thiery Henry? and what would be regarded as average or mid tone? Ian Wright, Sol Campbell, Eddie Murphy, Tyson Beckford, Naomi Campbell and dark skinned would be William kemptenui (Kenyan long distance runners), Andy Cole,
And the point is?..... how ridiculous black people discussing skin tone and and big lips and broad noises isn't something that is just associated with dark skinned people alot of light skinned people have those feautures. In Jamaica light skinned people usually come from towns such St Annes, St Elizabeth, St Catherine this is because alot of Irish and german peoplesettled there and mixed with the blacks. In towns such as Clarendon, Montego Bay there are alot of Indian and chinease who again mixed with blacks so you get alot of black people with thick eyebrows and chinease eyes.

HOW DARE ANY PERSON OF ANY RACE MAKE COMMENTS ABOUT ANOTHER PERSONS COMPLEXION
First of all, if a white person was to racially abuse you and call u a N****r they wont make exceptions for you because ur light-skinned Hell No!
And if sum1 from the NF was to again racially abuse you im sure you would not have it and you would stand up for ure race yet ud b the 1st one to point out a dark-skinned person and cuss.
The term "blick" is very offensive to a dark skinned person and im sure youd never hear a person sayin " uh look at that boy hes LLIIIIIIITTEEEEEE" no we dont have a problem with light people do we. Because we have all surcumed to the idea of WHITE SUPREMACY- white is right and if its lite its alright...sound familiar????????
See thats the problem with the Black race were all to quick to be like yea im black and im proud but r we really? Because if we was we'd love each otha and not even give a term or a name to people with dark skin. We would except it and move on. How long have black people been on the earth yet were still hung up on melanin levels dats y we have not gone further or progressed.
White people are to broken into different shades but they dont dwell on it and they certainly dont tease each other about it. Yet i hear white people and black people together jokin sayin "yea hes blick with pink lips!" Does dat even sound right. How can we cuss whit people who are racist when we to are just as racist if anything we are worse because we like to bring down our own people.
If a bomb was designed to kill all black people it would kill the light-skinned people as well as the dark skinned people. THINK about that.
Oh and dat Nigerian person who said dat they call people blick and dont like blick people or whateva. Go back HOME. To AFRICA. And see all your beautiful relatives who im sure some of them will b dark skinned and tell dem exactly what u wrote in ure post and see if u dont get some pepper in your eyes!

Hello. I am a beautiful chocolate woman who must say that this is absolutely ridiculous. I have never even heard of the term "blick" until just now. I really do feel sorry for those light-skinned people who think that they are superior to those who are blessed to be dark-skinned for you truely have been brainwashed. I will admit that in my younger years, I was ashamed of being dark-skinned, but since then have grown up (which I suggest the rest of you do) and embraced the beauty with which God has blessed me. Honestly, I would prefer a dark-skinned man over a light-skinned brother any day. (No offense to my light-skinned brothers. All black people are beautiful.) Part of what makes us so beautiful is the fact that we are all different shades. Ya'll really need to quit this bull because no one will be able to see your "supposed" beauty beyond your unbelievable abundance of ignorance.

The way the World is becoming more warm............being darker skinned is even more of a gifted from the GODS. This World is changing into climates that will suit the children of the GODS, so buoy man feels sorry for the people that do not have good Melanin in their bodies.
As Black people whether light or dark-skinned we have this gene, but the African race, several Caribbeans and other Black people on this planet have it BEST but Cauasian and some Mongoloids may have problems with the sun especially the descendants of the Neanderthals, Shaggies and Cave Dwellers (there f*cked).
P.S. Negros of British, when the Media says to the British public when Summers come again put Tanning Lotion on your skin to protect you from the Sun Rays.
DON'T DO IT NO MORE!!!
That substance is for the whiteys not us because we have a Natural Gene in our bodies that lets the Sun give us natural vitamins(vitamin D is one of them) we need to keep our skin nice, healthy and glowing.
So I would not hate on darker-skinned peeps because they were worshipped much more back in the day during Egyptian Dynasties and all races there at the time was overwhelmed by Nefiri ti ti and Cleo Patra looks (two of the most beautiful women in History with Dark Chocolate skin).
Eventhough we all have been brainwashed for time saying the lighter or whiter the better is absolute b*llocks, yes there are VERY attractive Light-skinned, Afropean, Blackanese and other Negro girls around the World, but Dark-Skinned is the top thing. Man is still saying that most Light-Skinned and Half Black girls/women are Beautiful to but the TRUE skin tone of original Negro should no longer be neglected by the Black masses.

Hey Yall.hea a dark skin'd mama..man wish ya could just c me in a pic..aint got it right now!!!yea.i have noticed that yea light skinned girls tend to be prettier in majority...i guess is bcuz when the skin is lighter u can see the face better.. i mean facial characteristics..yet the thing about them dark skinned is that they got dat special beauty man....u cant c many but there are plenty..guess we don't like 2 fall in the spot light..but let the spot light get at us!!
I am not sayin here that all liter gyals like showin' em self out...but most do!! Anywayz i love all colours!!! i used 2 like light mo lite skinned boyz b4 than the dark ones...now dat i go around a lot mo.....my taste diverted..Yet dis aint a matter of who i prefer or who looks better etc ...as blacks we all beautiful no matter whatever peole say....and 2 em people who are light or dark and consider urself ugly don't!!! ya'll r beautiful in every special way ......

We all talk about dark skin vs.light skin as if there are only two shades. black people come in all colors. You could divide light skin people into three categories. each of 3 of those categories also have various shades within.
1. passing (Vanessa Williams)
2. yellow (Tisha Campbell, Christopher Reid from Kid n Play)
3. light brown (Will Smith, Nelly, Cuba Gooding Jr.)
Darker skin people could also be put into 3 categories
1. medium brown (Denzel Washington, Lauryn Hill, Usher)
2. dark brown (Eddie Murphy)
3. really dark (Wesley Snipes)
There are probabally more shade variations among light skin people which ranges from just under paper bag brown to almost white. I fall under the light brown category. I personally like dark skin, brown skin and light skin women eqaully. They are all attractive. I love rich chocolate skin and golden light brown skin. They are all sexy. But I have noticed that the brothas tend to go for the light skinned girls and the sistas like the dark skin men. The sistas use to go for the light skin fellas but something in the mid 1990s and black women's taste changed.

Blacks want to be lightskinned, it's almost an insult to say for instance you have the same skinn tone as K. Rowland, for women.
Among whites we see the same but opposite phenomenon. Those ligth skinned, blond haired and male are looked down upon, by the more fortunate 'bin laden look alikes' . Life isn't easy for really black and really white people. Lets respect our "albino" brothers, they are in the same situation as we pitch black brothers.

@ litebrownboy: Vanessa Williams is NOT 'passing'! That expression means 'blacks' who can pass for white, although Vanessa is light she aint passing for white in this lifetime. A good example of passing is Jennifer Beals of flashdance and L word fame, and Qincy Jones daughter Rashida and Lionel Ricthies daughter Nicole, googe their images if you dont know 'em you would never guess all three of 'em had both parents blacks (albeit very light skinned).
To the topic> My problem with this idiotic expression 'blick' is it is a very accurate imitaion of a white South African pronunciation of the word black!!
First we call ourselves 'N****r' then we imitate the speech of the most blatant racist oppressors of black people in the 20th century....dont we ever learn??
