Hey, just wanna find out people opinions on the Choice FM Junior jams. I've only ever been to one, with Chingy, Shystie, Nathan and some other people. It wasn't all that, and was only good when the artists were performing. There was so much hating goin on! I think even though Kat's funny...he was a bit tooooo rude. I felt sorry for the people at the front cause he could see them an he didn't have nothing nice to say. If anyone's been to that same one, did u see when those girls were called on stage to win roses? When kat and dem were walking around looking for girls who they thought were pretty, then the crowd had to cheer the loudest for the girl they thought was the prettiest and should win the rose? That was.....the way the crowd were booing a couple of those girls an sayin they're butters....
I choose not to go to any more Juniour Jams, because to me, the only highlight was the "main" or most "popular" artist at the end. And I was even getting bored of that! When Chingy came up and was performin ..I was like..."oh my days" (back when he was with DTP), but then after about half an hour...I was like...I'm bored now...get of the stage, I wanna go home ....lolol It was funny when some girls pretended to faint so they would get carried on stage then as soon as they got carried on stage they jumped up and started screamin an tried to touch him lololol...that was so pathetic.
Has anyone been to any? What did you think of it? Do you think you'll be going to another one?

| Ya know! My feet were HURTIN by the time they brought Chingy out. I wanted 2 sit down, but I couldn't lol. I heard bare girls were hating on Ciara when she was there, shouting out how she can't dance etc. I also heard how Houston's performance was really really bad, how he was sayin nasty things, and I heard something about people throwing ice? Either he was throwing ice, or people were throwing ice at him. Whatever happened, sounds like madness to me lol.

Lady_Swifty....
Call me snobbish but I am disappointed in you. JUdging by your posting elsewhere you are a VERY bright 17 year old with the mental capacity for serious work. Why then do you lower yourself to go to a choice FM junior Jam? I dont get it! Hip Hop is TRASH..the lyrics could be written by brain damaged losers..I mean Just LISTEN..someone with your potential and gifts should be cringing at the stuff/guff that's pumped out by that industry, not paying hard cash to rub shoulders with the lower orders.
Shame on you. Get Real amd know your place - ahead of the pack looking down on them a little bit. Jeez.

You're disappointed in me because of the music I choose to listen to? Shame on me? WHO ARE YOU to tell me that? I'm not living my life to please YOU. So think what you want about me. Know YOUR place, and know not to judge me because of the music I choose to listen to. Just for the record, there were SOUL artists there, RNB artists there, DANCE ACTS there, NOT just hip hop. I'm sure there are a lot of BN posters who listen to soul, rnb, hip hop etc etc, so why not go copy and paste that text to everyone else. You can't judge someone because of the music they listen to. (I'm 16 by the way, not quite 17 yet) Yes people may view me as a bright person, but it doesn't mean that I must listen to CLASSICAL music or ROCK music, or whatever music you "believe" I should be listening to. I listen to music I enjoy...and if that's a problem to you, then that's exactly what it is...YOUR problem. I'm doing well for myself, hip hop or no hip hop. I'm not living my life to please a BN poster whom I've never even met.
Until you buy my clothes, feed me and keep a roof over my head.....
I don't have to cater to your expectations, or be how you want me to be.

Thankyou, I can't stand ignorance. People judging people because of what they listen to..what kind of foolishness is that? I've got good grades, doing well academically, don't put harmful substances in my body or none of that ish, so I must be doing something right.
I was trying to start a harmless topic about people's opinions of how they found the Junior Jams...there's always...one.

Clearly, Lady_Swifty is being brought up without a steady paternal influence, judging by the tone of her post. But thats the tragedy of the black community, generations of children are growing up minus the stabilising influence of good fathers. That leaves them at risk of a moronic musical culture where women are hoes and drug dealing/taking is glorified.
How sad.
BTW between Ludacris and Joss Stone I go for Joss Stone. At least she sings in joined up sentences.
"Ludacris has the sound to make your booty go ooh"
How f**king elevated. Take it Ladi_Swifty and Cashmoney..its all yours.

Well...I aint a hoe..I aint doin drugs...I aint out havin sex...I aint out drinkin all night...I aint failin in school......So...what's your problem? It hasn't affected my life AT ALL.
So..calm yourself down.
You can go ahead an say this is sad and that is sad...YES it WOULD be sad if I was out on the streets doing god knows what with whoever, if I weren't takin care of myself and not doing well for myself, because of listening to "hip hop" music. But I am...so..get over it.
We can't help the music we like, so that's something you're going to have to learn to deal with.
You don't like black artists music do you?

Yeah I wouldn't mind me some Ludacris either lol. I heard Marques Houston was supposed to perform at one, but he turned it down lol. I think I would have preferred to have gone to Ciara's one rather than the one I went to, cause I prefer her over Chingy. Chingy's....dry lol

Oh yea, I got pics of BV from that Junior Jam....( , nooicceee lol), the only UK act of the night that I actually enjoyed lol was Shystie's performance...even though her clothes weren't right lol, she was dressed like she was just going next door for some sugar. She was good though, Nathan...he was ok I guess. I heard Kano's performance smacked it, but I didn't go to that one, so I wouldn't know lol

exactly. She claims that nowadays the way black society is, is "sad"...What's SAD is people generalising and squashing EVERYONE into the same box. Everyone is individual. Believe it or not, not every one bases their life or their lifestyle on MUSIC. Don't know what kind of people you know...but I don't know anyone like that. Not saying it doesn't happen..but I sure as hell ain't going to let music rule my life. Lack of a father has NOTHING to do with it. Ignorance and even more ignorance. You don't know the ins and outs of every fatherless person to place that assumption on them.

@ jazztalking.... I will call you snobbish! Music is Music at the end of the day. I ain't going to lie some artists do come out with poor lyrics but then again some of them do come out with some lyrics that tell you about life... example Nas 'I Can' noe doesn't show you something? he isn't a 'brain damaged loser' take a look at his lyrics positive message or what!
"Be, B-Boys and girls, listen up
You can be anything in the world, in God we trust
An architect, doctor, maybe an actress
But nothing comes easy it takes much practice
Like, I met a woman who's becoming a star
She was very beautiful, leaving people in awe
Singing songs, Lina Horn, but the younger version
Hung with the wrong person
Got her strung on that
Heroin, cocaine, sniffin up drugs all in her nose...
Coulda died, so young, now looks ugly and old
No fun cause now when she reaches for hugs people hold they breath
Cause she smells of corrosion and death"
and once again...
"Be, B-Boys and girls, listen again
This is for grown looking girls who's only ten
The ones who watch videos and do what they see
As cute as can be, up in the club with fake ID
Careful, 'fore you meet a man with HIV
You can host the TV like Oprah Winfrey
Whatever you decide, be careful, some men be
Rapists, so act your age, don't pretend to be
Older than you are, give yourself time to grow
You thinking he can give you wealth, but so
Young boys, you can use a lot of help, you know
You thinkin life's all about smokin weed and ice
You don't wanna be my age and can't read and write
Begging different women for a place to sleep at night
Smart boys turn to men and do whatever they wish"
And you also have to see it this way...You people are blessed with the ability to hear some people are deaf and can not hear anything, so don't hate on a certain genre of music! rejoice because we have all different music!

I went to the Ne-Yo one, he couldn't sing all that good live...but Chris Brown made up for his poor performance, it wasn't all that though.
