I know for a fact that the futher away you move from the eqator the lighter your skin is people migrating futher away resulted in lighter skin.
If you look at south Africans they tend to be darker than North Africans ie Moroccos but that is also due to arabic influences. East Africans ie Ethiopians (where i believe all people originated from) who are usually slightly darker than than west africans ie Nigerians...
If you look at the continent of africa and south america ever noticed how to almost looks like they could have once fit as a whole? maybe its just me but i think someone mention gawanaland previously.
now heres my theory..
God created the world as a whole gawanaland (as it was called i think) and after the worldwide flood with Noah the plates in the earth moved leaving people scattered everywhere movin away from the equator making skin lighter and other features adapting to new habitates.....
but hey what do i know this is just a 14 year old mind - im just guessing

yo, when it comes to evolution of man, don't even attempt to bring the word God anywhere near it, unless you're a crazy american fundamentalist christian.
evolution is strictly science, not lala god created this and that...

Well I didn't read through the whole thread so I don't know if it has already been answered, but I'll tell you what I know.
Homo Sapiens evolved in Africa. Eventually a small group of humans migrated from Africa to the Eurasian continent, and spread out from there. Because non-Africans come from such a small group, they have half the genetic diversity that Africans do. As they spread, they replaced the Neanderthals that were already there because, let's face it, we're the superior species.
The human migration took thousands of years, so they had plenty of time to evolve into the different races we have today, to suit their habitats. As we all know, the native inhabitants of the Americas most likely crossed the land bridge.

Interesting fact:
"Scientists now calculate that all living humans are related to a single woman who lived roughly 150,000 years ago in Africa, a "mitochondrial Eve." She was not the only woman alive at the time, but if geneticists are right, all of humanity is linked to Eve through an unbroken chain of mothers."
