@All too busy to comment when this debate was hot. But will say this. There is a fundamental consistency of the behaviour of Trevor Phillips who is our enemy. Straight and nothing complicated about it.
He like others are acting and using their position as defacto black leadership, unelected and actually on the white man's pay role. He is far more inteventionist than any other CRE leader and in matters which are not actually part of his remit. While silent on those things which are so they cannot do the job and want to come chuck it elsewhere.
Please note how he has deliberately sought controversy but always a controversy which supports white conservative and mainstream ideas and agenda. A controversy which always ends up with black people being punked and white people smiling. Like Trevor McDonaold who never ever speaks about politics, what he means is about pro black stuff, but will call West Indians the international prosituties of the world, meaning his mother and sisters nd hence why he chose white. That is not political or controversial? . I would hang him by his nostris on meat hooks.
First, Phillips started to attack Muslims in the wake of Iraq and 9/11 about the need to end political correctness and pushing English nationalism. In something else I read he says he doesn not want to know why there are all these social problems with boys and single parent hood etc . He just thinks people should stop it then goes on to attack black males as if they are the ones having children or raping people. Again he has no ideas, but when it comes to attaking black men, from a class of not his own, he is fast as a butcher's dog.
If you follow that logic from someone who is the head of an organisation which employs academics and researchers, or used to shall I say they have nothing now not even a library now. So Tommy Tucker is definitely singing for his supper, before they cut his pay cheque too. To claim as he said in a Sunday Times Special Feature that explanation is not important hence why he has been central in this demonisation and attacking of black people and black men in particular.
His solutions are joke business and even members of his own organisation would probably squirm every time he opens his mouth. Even the old White Chief of the CRE did not engage in such openly racist behaviour towards black people and that is what it is.
This antic or recommendation is another one of his gimmicks or segregating black boys. Why don't he segregate Blair and ask him for a little something called socio-economic policy for urban areas etc. Rather than low paying jobs were most of those guys are heading for.
You don't have to be very bright to see the basic consitency in what he argues, what he stresses and what he does not touch with a barge poll. About he wants to go to the US on junkets and look for ideas. This people spends millions looking for ideas when the truth is very untasteful and not poltically conveinient.
Why waste money other than the obvious ,when he could go to his PC or library and find the answers. What does he not know his own family ran black schools very successfully? I can cite at least 8 serious black educationalist in less than a couple of miles not even that from my yard, but this arse wants to tell me he has to go to abroad to look at foolishness. Because they have obvioulsy left no stone unturned right. These people must look at us in pure contempt or actually believe because they speak in funny white accents that impresses them, that they are intellectually smarter and superior than the rest of us for real.
The man is beneathe contempt.

by seperating black boys from the rest of the intake, its like ur expecting all of them to be failing. that cud easily push them into doin worse, cos they'l kno nothing entirely gud is expected of them.
not all black boys are "troublemakers" or dont work hard.

the main obstacle to our children failing are our children. Peer pressure plays an incredible part in childrens lack of interest in school. Its just not cool to be clever. You can have all the resources in the world and all the most well intentioned teachers but if kids dont care for learning its pointless.

| I think if there was to be a black school with only black teachers, you would still have to be carefull with the teachers u hired. This is because some black teachers in schools I swear have it in for black children themselves just like the white teachers, am sure some of them are never too happy to tell some of the black boys off in my school.

Separate "Black Boys' Classes" in a mixed school are a very bad idea. Not all black boys are performing badly & grouping children with different levels of intelligence/attitudes towards education into some kind of remedial class would be extremely frustrating for the boys who perform well and would certainly cause their work to deteriorate.
Separate schools for black children are a very good idea. Some people seem happy to ignore the fact that the stereotypes harboured by white teachers regarding the intelligence of Black pupils (inevitably) affect the Black children they teach. I mean if I, as an adult doing professional exams via a graduate trainee scheme, noticed the loud gasps and shocked expressions my bosses & colleagues had each time I got the best marks & their utter disbelief when they found out I'd passed all my exams without repeating any, what stops a child from noticing the same reactions & more importantly, the underlying message?
Difference is, I know about their stupid beliefs, I recognise the jealousy & I enjoy showing them how ridiculous their stereotypes are; but children might end up getting confused about their own abilities, internalising this confusion, believing the stereotypes and eventually not caring about education at all. Once at this 'stage', these children will in turn 'peer-pressurise' other Black children into hating education & reinforce the subtle messages they are all learning from their teachers....... and the cycle will continue!
Mixed schools have and will continue to have an adverse effect on many Black children, THERFORE, all Black schools seem like the way forward for our children.
