I didn't apply this year but I did last year...as I wasn't here(on Blacknet) at the time I'll just contribute to this(if thats ok).
I applied to:
The University Of Hertfordshire
LSE
City University
Middlesex University
Kingston University
I got provisional offers from all of them except LSE(b**tards! lol). I needed to get 300 points including B at Maths A level).
Final grades...AAB (one of the A's in Maths).
Advice to people applying this year: go to the UCAS visit days for courses you have been accepted on. Study, study, STUDY lol...clearing is not a nice thing at all, I've known people who had a bad time with clearing...they got places but some had to do a foundation year or go to crap uni's.

Got offers for all cept Cov & leicester, still waiting. I think i might choose De Montfort, Im going to the open day soon. Anybody know what De montfords like??

i used to spend a lot of time at demontfort in the last 2 years.
depends on what you're looking for at uni. the credibility of your degree when you come out of it won't be as good as it would if you went to leicester uni.
most the halls are brand new, i've been in most of them and they are real posh. there is a couple of old halls which are bit sh*t. it's close to the city centre. the SU is nothing special now. night life is good though. the campus is buzzing in first simester. gym is cheap, $40 for the whole year.
drinks are cheap, going out is cheap. always good gigs on most the time.
downsides are that there is a 6th form college right next to it. there's always little "badboys" hanging around. but they are planing to give that building to dmu and move the college in the next year or 2.
also if you can't stand asians then don't go there. the place is infested with asians. whites are almost a minority there.
anything else you want to know let me know.

I applied to:
Uni of Manchester
Uni of Nottingham
Uni of Leeds
Uni of Newcastle
Uni of Sheffield
and London Skool of Economics
All of them were for Politics or Political Studies and LSE was for Social Policy and I have received offers from all except LSE and Manchester (who chose to wait a month after everybody else gave me their offers/rejections before rejecting me). Why? Well I did choose Unis which were 'up north' because I live in London and I really want to leave now - not just because of family but also to see a different part of the country. London I think is too stale nowadays and EXPENSIVE. I only selected LSE to see whether they'd offer me anything on the advice of my tutor. Then I looked at Unis and I had a look at which were good for teaching Politics in League tables/books/advice from people as well.
Going to Nottingham tommorow for their open day as well and that is my first choice at the moment...

Even though its not what i really wanted to do, i think i'm still going to enjoy the 3 years. The course seems really interesting, and i could still try going for dentistry after this course.
And im going to be in LONDON! Cant wait now!

You know what, I still haven't made my mind up yet.
Its going to be either Nottingham or Leeds now but someone told me that I have to submit my student loan application by the end of the month so I'd better get a move on and reply to my offers because i'm always leaving things to the last minute.

I wantd to go to manchester but at the time i was made aware it didnt do my course and now i have just found it does unfortunitaley, But i aint gonna let it get me down, there is a post graduate course i wanna do and i may go to manchester to do that lol

I'm going to Brunel. its nice to see that everybody has picked good uni's.
My friend got 4A's last year and lord knows she got rejected frm LSE, UCL, Manchester, Warrick. so I thnk grades can only get you so far, it's about substance so she said that she isn't going to go to uni this year which is a shame
@ True, what was your best revision method?? cos at this moment in time i would give my right arm to get grades like that. the library that i study in in SE london is a bloodly Zoo!!!!

i applied 2 (apart from the above) Goldsmiths College* Sussex* Brighton* Westminister*. luckily i got conditional offers from all, but Lord knows writing da personal statement was EFFORT!!!

Lol you know what all you have to do is revise like MAD! I didn't even go to the library cos I get distracted all the time by bloody people who go there to socialise and stuff, very irritating. I have just finished my first year at uni, it all went QUICK, just hope I passed all my exams! Haven't been on this site for ages cos I was on it a bit too much and some people were pissing me off, but I'll pop by now fairly regularly.

OK thanks for the advise. but i've been revising like a mad woman more or less
I did my AS level ICT resit the other day and my eyes were watering cos Lord knows everything i revised came up on paper 1 but paper 2 thats a differenet story. hopefullt it will equal out to about a C.
Alos i was thinking of just taking 3g's student loan, just to cover my accomadation. any views on this?

Hey all. im 23. Iv'e just finished my degree at goldsmiths uni in sociology and got a 2.2. I have applied to go to
Goldsmiths
london metroplitan
I got accepted after two interviews at lon met to do my masters in social work. I wanted to go back to goldsmiths but didn't get in. oh well.
