Hi Kooli-mistah

Im finding college very good and I think its better then going 2 school because I can sleep in longer, wear my own clothes, leave early and i can even study what i want lol!. I suppose it is like a skool in a way but much better. Its kinda hard 4 me 2 make new frendz because theres only 3 gurls in my class and the rest are boys and thats because its a sports class but thats ok.

College is Koool!!!!

Hi I'm at college in my first year studyin 3 a levels and 1 as level. I lived in london all my life and moved to Manchester to go to college cos my mum married and her husband's business is based there. I've found it to be avery difficult transition but I'm coping it's only just really got easier. There is a lot of stigma attached to Londoners so people have been trying to pick fights and things. Wot I've noticed is that the people in my college are very immature in comparison to my friends in London and they seem to see themselves more like big kidz rather than young adults and that is what has made things difficult.  Im not saying I'm superior tothem but I can't really get on with people who aren't willing to give me a chance I'm in the minority but what has made things more bearable is the fact that I now have a boyfriend who is also from London and he goes to my college. I've realised that I'm at college to learn just how I went to skool to learn but if you can make friends along the way then it's a bonus.
To any other first years who are struggling hang on in there and try your hardest to achieve nothing less tahn your best!!

My question to you all is what you hope to achieve out of going to college??

Do you have a path planned for your prospective jobs?

I'm in my first year at college and I'm doin 4 AS Levels. I'm strugglin boi. For me personally it's a drastic change from pissin about at GCSE. I didn't have a clue as to how hard it was gonna be, my exams start in two weeks and theyve just crept up on me man!

Some people say College is harder than Uni which in doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever, but I hope to pass all my A Levels, go up North for Uni and study English, and then take my gap year. I'll  have all my fun and then settle down and start my career! Sounds easy when it's all listed out like that, but lets see what I'm sayin in 10 years to come! :?

@laydee frenzy-i dont know if its true, but one lectureses said that what ever you do at uni in your chosen subject all the work you do at alevel is like half of a degree already because you have so much knowledge of the subject. it is a VERY big jump frrom GCSE 2 alevel. im doing 4 as levels 2 if you try to keep on top of things then it isnt so bad. im panicing now though. my first exam starts on the 20th and im :(
