Greetings Everyone,

It's that time of year again where students need to keep their heads down and prepare for giving these exams their best shot. I know not all of us learn in the same way so I thought it might be good to share some problems and tips of what has worked/not worked or is/isn't currently working for you (graduates and soon to be graduatesblkscholar).

If you don't feel that you do well in exams tell maybe you can get a new way of getting through them successfully.

Here are some things that have worked for me

Visualization

I like to visualize things and put them into certain orders rather than reading for long hours and taking more notes (something I used to do). What's worked is creating a diagram (a bit like an organisation chart), that breaks up what I need to know in key words NOT sentences. Once I know the subject enough those words trigger the rest of what I want to say once you get into the exam. By seeing them in a chart and revising from the chart, when I get to the exam, I know where to look in my mental image for the relevant information;)

Index cards

Key information can be added to these too and help you to be more concise with answers , even when you have been asked to discuss topics. They are also reduce the weight from all the other books!!

Study Buddies

If you don't already have one or some, having someone to test you and who you can test may help. The more you talk (out loud) about the subjects the more overstanding you get. They can also act as a good pacemaker you know someone to spur you on too because as much as you may be fed up and want this over and done...it soon finish...just a little bit more to go nowblkrubhead.

Go ahead....
