go on the website my brother (or sis) or order a prospectus from them, via e-mail. My friend is going there to study psychology, and from what i know about the uni, it is pretty good. it is very good for humanities i know that for sure. Golsmith is part of the university of London, which is really good, in terms of employability and reputation (so they say). What are you going to study? are you thinking of going there?

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm not to sure about the multicultural part. One of my friends went there for an open day, and said she saw alot of europeans, however my other friend went there on a different day and saw quite a few black people and other groups. Dont let it deter you though, Goldsmiths is good. My uni (starting also in september) is predominately white, but im still going, despite the lack of black people. Just do you!  It is in New Cross so i know the area is definitely mulitcultural. I must say that geting goldsmith on clearing is a real find, i could be taking some courses down there, (history) as my uni is also part of the university of london.

@East African. It is as multi-cultural as any university around and probably more so...What that actually means in reality is another thing. But it is a London university so you are sure to see quite a few of our people about the place or in other Colleges of London University..

Probably has more black teachers than most but then again still talking about small numbers..

I just graduated from Goldmiths in September...............it really depend on what you are looking for in a university and what angle you wish to study your programme at.......

The course I completed was the only one in London which is relitavely local to me

the way they taught my subject was different to how hertfordshire taught it.....we were allowed to express our opinion on the subject material of our course, in conjuction with our professional body and the Healthcare Professions Council, who validate the course

black students are a rarity on my course and I complained about that!!

but social work is a different story, many brothers and sisters are on that course

one gripe I do have is that communication between departments need to improve!

other than that, it is a nice school, I had lots of support due to my dyslexia which they regarded as profound, I really felt able to contact my lecturers if I felt anything wasnt right.

but this is only my opinion

it really depends on what you want out of a subject.

Its elite status is there....there is a degree of snobbery

I always challenged it especially in my end of year shows!!!!

anything else you want to know, ask!!!
