| Just wondering if anyone in here goes to or has applied to the School of african and oriental Studies? I applied to them in november but they still aint replied, whilst all the other uni's have. hey, i'm new to the blacknet village.
I applied to SOAS as well to study history, i got an offer quite recently actually. it is a good university with a good student environment, and a variety of intresting degree programmes and floaters you can take.

That's good to hear. I hope you enjoy your course because that's the one of the most imporant aspects of your university experience.  Reading is also a good university to attend, so you really didn't miss out.

@ Amin, I just want to ask do you know of anyone in SOAS studying history? If so do you know how they are finding it, becaue i'm torm between studying history at either UCL or Queen Mary. I think if i got a students insight of the course it would make my decision a lot easier!

Soas is a good school. Perhaps the 2nd tier of London universities, after UCL, KCL, LSE and Imperial.

| @Conscious sister, sorry for such a late reply you have probably decided where you want to go by now. Anyway I know few people who study, the benefit of SOAS is the flexibility if history you can study. If you are real into African history I dont think there is another uni as well schooled and a libary as well stacked on it. I believe history is taught well at the uni which also has a number of black students. All the best with exam results and all that.
