Yes its definately a good idea to take it if you are considering entry into one of the top law universities. I took it last year and to be honest i thought it was going to be seriously difficult but if you read the passages carefully you should do well. After coming out of the test, i nearly cried because thought i had performed so badly but i actually got a score of 18/24 which is pretty good as the average score was 13/24.

Some tips:

1. Be aware of the time limit on the multiple choice section there is a lot of material to get through in a short space of time.

2. Practice LNAT style questions so you are used to the format of the test because if not, on the day you may know the answers but be baffled by the way you must answer them.

3. Always attempt to answer the multiple choice questions as you can not lose marks for an incorrect answer, but at least if you make an educated guess you still have a chance of getting the answer right.

4. Relax- this test can't be revised for in the same way you revise for a maths test, it is meant to test your natural ability at problem solving, but that doesn't mean to say you can't familiarise yourself with current affairs which may arise on the test which may give you an advantage.

5. On the essay question, try and write a balanced essay including several intelligent  points- it might help to do a brief plan if time permits. Also allow enough time for a good conclusion, something i kicked myself for not doing!

This isn't by any means a fool-proof guide to doing well, i can just give you my insight into my experience of sitting the test. You should do fine, don't worryniceone.gif

Yeah Sweet n Sour safe for that, Can I ask what Uni you got into, coz at the minute..it looks like clearing might be an option since my predicted grades are averaging out at like 2B's and a D...not exactly the standard the good Unis are asking, i've looked around at even the lower in the table Law courses...and they still ask for at least ABB or BBB

Oh, im not really into baiting up my uni, but since u asked so politely i go to the university of Nottingham. Even though theres a lot of black people in the area, not many actually go to the uni so its a bit isolating at first but i'm getting used to it.

Dont worry bout your grades, these days because law is becoming so competitive they are raising the grade boundaries for entry which is ridiculous as well as introducing the LNAT, but because law is such a catered for course im sure you can find unis that will offer lower grades but you never know- u might surprise yourself! Just work hard until June!

Good Luck!
