If your father has the time, why don't you ask him to help with the language. If there is one thing I envy about some West Indians , some Africans and some Canadians is that they can speak more than one language. I'm attending a language interaction class. I', trying to learn to speak fluent French. Oddly, I can understand and write it better than I can speak it. That is what I'm trying to do. I spoke a little of it. My biggest problem isn't so much not being able to speak, it but rather is to know when to " jump in" when I can understand a little of what the other person is saying to me.I've heard manypeopleand former professor say that if you want to learn how to speka french, it's wise to either go live in the country and learn but by bit, watch/listen to French movies/Cd's or to hang around a pwerson who is fluent in the language and mostly, to speak as less of your language much as possible. You have a great chance of being able to get some french through your father. If he's willing , I would ask him if you can learn it from him.
