This was inspired by talks with friends, about the issue of domestic violence.
It was also inspired by the sad way innocent people(Citizens Nightclub)
get caught in cross-fire, when dunce, young "brothers",
decide to use guns to settle minor arguments and how "no-one ever sees anything"...
Choose the right battle...
Look…Don’t blame me!
I was just mindin’ my own business.
I mean…I think I saw “somethin’,
But I wouldn’t make a real good witness.
Besides, snitchin’ ain’t on my agenda,
So don’t call me to the stand, Brother-Man.
I just can’t help ya.
I’m sayin’;
If it were my sister, then mister,
I’d expect someone to tell it all, like a Preacher.
So I could beat a Motherf**ker down,
Someone better tell me how to reach him!
But, uhhhmmm…You know how it is.
You know a rat’s life can get snatched by a vengeful cat.
I can’t stand all of this “Black on Black…
We need to chill.
We’re too busy eye-ballin’ each other,
Fighting the wrong fight…still.
Man, I dunno…
We ought to stick together,
Weed-out the Great Pretenders,
Stop asking “them to help us
And become our own “Public Defenders…Nah mean?
I feel for you, Bru!
I know that if it were me…damn…
A motherf**ker better tell…yah get me?
But it ain’t, so…
Peace...

(I find these lines interesting, because that's how it is-if it's not my love one then why should I get involve?,but I expect
you to get involve if it"s my sister. I too have been guilty of this way of thinking. Thank you for opening my eyes.)
