Hi everyone! Just want to let you all know about a FREE live-music urban talent showcase taking place at Cargo on the 20th of DEC . The event is a 'Spicy Winter Warmer' showcasing some of London's hottest up & coming live urban musical talent. The night promises an eclectic mix of soulful grooves, smooth jazzy moves, hip-hop beats and prize giveaway treats! Add warmth to the winter season by joining us at Cargo Monday 20-12-2004 from 7 pm- 1 am.
(intelligent hip hop, urban spoken word/ poetry, RnB soul, urban gospel - and more!)

I know,... this is one we had a tough time with. Those of us putting the event on wanted to reach as many people as we could. So, we gave a more detailed description of the music which is really varied and decided to throw the word 'urban' in too because there are a lot of young people out there that identify with that tag- some of whom know good music when they hear it, some of whom just swallow what they've been fed. We just want as many people to come as possible and we'll let them judge for themselves. Maybe they'll discover they like Afrobeat, spoken word and modern gospel as well as hip-hop and RnB.
