I Wake up every morning
Into a hell,
Wish I could just go back to sleep.
But nightmares snare at me there as well…
Anxiety and fear,
Tearing my hurt soul apart.
Tears of anguish and sorrow,
Wish I could mend my broken heart.
(Verse1)
The days seem,
To just come and go.
No end to the heartache,
No end to the woe.
Deep down I know,
How things got so bad.
Sometimes I still cry,
Sometimes I think I've gone mad…
Wish I had the power,
Over chronology.
Wish I could go back in time.
erase the trauma that made my essence weak.
But unfortunately, the choice has been made.
For my unredeemable negligence the rest of my lifetime I must pay.
So I hold my head in my hands,
As the tears and years come, I watch my soul decay...
(Verse2)
Another week has come,
Another month a year.
But nothing has changed,
I still cry these anxiety tears…
They just won't go away,
I hurt so bad.
Tried meditation,
Tried God,
But this living hell is still driving me mad.
Confused with self doubt,
Deluded by self pity,
A brotha Weakened in his prime,
What the hell has happened to me?
My innocent childhood beckons,
Like the moon in the night,
Forever making me wish,
I could change my spoilt life...
(Verse 3 - Internal metamorphic change of heart ensues…)
But No Damn it! Wait a minute!!!!!!
This will not become me!
I will fight in my name!
Depression and anxiety,
I can't let them reign!
I will realise my purpose!
Or die trying in vain!
'cause this life is too short,
To mope, waste and decay!
Time to pick myself up,
And dust of bad experiences.
Time to clothe myself with hope,
And make positive future choices!
A sanguine implosion within,
Consuming my trepidation.
With buoyancy I will Fight on!!!
And try to forget this tribulation...
Hope this helps anyone who experienced or may be experiencing a similar predicament...
