civilised, developed and democratic
it was the ‘civilised’ world that en-slaved us,
raped, and continues to restrain us
kings labelled bucks,
as our queens gave birth to new europe,
families sold as negro product ranges,
whilst communities were swapped for tobacco and labelled…
…stock
it is the ‘developed’ nations that de-trade us,
whilst continuing to economically short change us
diamonds sold
crude oil exported
resources stolen
till food stocks are now…
… barren
it was ‘first’ world people who de-faithed us,
using deities to justify degrading us,
our customs of old,
barbaric we’re told
teaching, preaching, enforcing christianity
with the magic of science..
..and gunpowder
but it was ‘democracy’ that finally betrayed us,
funding regimes, polluting our dreams,
sending us aid, blocking our trade,
exporting our goods, importing their junk,
exotic guilt free vacations, as long as you please keep us locals at bay,
asylum, immigration, What problems?
begat annoyance, and now breeds severe….
……irritation.
