This is A SpokenWord As done on DEF PoETRY Jam THis
Lyrics if u dont understand
Her moms had her at 16
on February 10
1987
She was 18
Born two years before me
On the same month
Same day and everything
An ambitious woman
Native to high hopes and dreams
Popularity came with ease
For the simple fact that
Her complication was light skinned
This was which Is
complimented
With her long wavy hair
Her friends referred to her as
Jennifer
But the ignorance of many man
They just referred to her as “Ayo
So much you would think her nick name was “AYO
“Ayo, was sup my light skinned cutie
They called
On one of her lunch break she hears
“Ayo, mama let me whisper in your ear
She rolls her eyes and replies
Please spear me the drama,
I ‘m not your damn momma
And my name is Jennifer
He replies quickly
Shut up girl, you are not anything
I just want to hit, anyway,
In addition to his statement he adds
I know you’ll give it up
Because you already have a baby anyway
I stand in the Conner
Watching, listing
Cataloging the conversation
As I glance
I catch a quick
Glimpse
Of her eyes
They fiery
The last testimonial
Must have thrown her
Into a different dimension
Because her body was present
However, her mind was missing
As if she was
Remembering
Something, which happened to her
So long ago
That me, the guy, and his friends
Wasn’t Comprehending
As she came back to the future
Im closely paying attention
As she make an affirmation
Stating
Umm excuse me Sir
But for your information
I’m a virgin and I have never
Giving up my temple
As she speaks such
Ruthless words
Tears are falling down her dimples
As she finished talking
She runs away
And drops all of her books to the floor
Her face was red
As if, she did not want to live anymore
I come out of my position
In order to pick up her book
In addition, to follow her
As I bend down to pick one up
The inside was exposed
Therefore, I study the paper
Which unsealed some writing
Which read
RAPE VICTIM: Jennifer Anonymous
African American goes down fighting
Then I start reciting in my mind
The sense which I
Once so blind
The paper dates two years back
2003
I read on further to reed
Jennifer Anonymous
Rape victim having a baby
She will not have an abortion
Because even though
She did not want the sex
She wants the baby…
I refused to read more
Because the expressions
Started to burn my pupils
I run down the hall
Bust through the door
She ran through
As she’s sitting in a chair
Constantly crying fluids
As I put down her books
I rub her back
And she tell me
I did not want the sex
But
I would not kill my baby
And every time I look at her
It seams like Lately
She reminding me
Of the Events That took place
I do not want her to grow up
And me to see that
When I look at her face
Even though I wont admit it
She looks just like him
Her nose, her eyes, Her face
She looks just like him…
She puts her hand down
And cries in her palms
So I cry with her
And wrap her around in my arms
She looks me in my eyes and say
Im still a virgin right,
I reply sure,
I say
Your innocence can only
Be taken for you
If you let it be took,
You’re virgin for sure
Because you haven’t giving away anything
And what you haven’t gave
Is still yours…..

I think you have too many lines, its just like a story, one of the great things about poems is you can keep them vague and let people read into them whatever, I think you could make it really really good if you made it about 10 lines, a big idea of poetry is a lot of meaning in few words

its really more of a spokenword guess i should of said that...Most Time Spoken word tells a story....like have u ever watched def poetry jam...yea like what it is...so i guess its not really a poem....more like the spoken word
