A-the Black woman would have access and be ingrained with Black culture so would be able to speak with SOME authority and some authenticity.

So this is a sloppy comparison really Chi.

And of course Jason X is entitled to wax lyrical about the wonders of the dark-skinned woman.

My point is simply this.

IT SHOULDNT BE NECESSARY;)

You see.......it's crap like in this topic, that demonstrates why the black race is truly in one of the most fuc*ed up positions that it is in the world today.....

If we have to debate something has small has the melanin content in our skin to which is rapidly segregating the black race, when we haven't EVEN began to Unite has an entire race and fight a great oppression amongst us has a whole race, then the black race is truly going NO-WHERE and never will...!

I'm telling you now, that has a black person, if your believing this crap has a black person, then your mind is truly Fuc*ed! The only black people we should be segregating our the ones who give into this s*it, and believe that they are more superior than others because there skin is defferent!

You Black people have thousands of your own people dying of aids everyday in africa, and you idiot people want to give a s*it about the melanin content of your skin...! So what women, if there are men who prefer there lighter parts and only think that lighter women are beautiful.....Would you really want to be with a guy who is so shallow minded and uneducated to believe that s*it!

Just let me ask one thing.....when people in here are refering to light skinned, do you mean black lightskinned, or are you talking about mixed race, cause if your talking about mixed race then thats a totally different race, they are not the light skinned version of us. But if you talking black light skinned, then there just BLACK people.

If you going to call a mixed race person light, then i guess chinese people are to....this is how pathetic the word is! The word is degrading, if you think about the logical sense of it and black people give into it!

Nothing wrong with the ART Monsieur X, the bigging up part shouldnt be, it should just be taken as READ that dark-skinned woman are as beautiful as their lighter counterparts.

And I think once we as a race can approach the beauty standard from that standpoint alone,ONE QUARTER of the threads on Blacknet will become redundant.

besides if dark women need the occasional "bone" thrown at them in the first place that just means they are insecure,

funny as a reasonably dark skinned man I dont feel the same things as my female counterparts

just like the other day....there was a topic of 50 cent being compared to gorillas, posting pictures and s*it.........yet this topic is just some more of the foolish nonsense that you black people are adding to the stigma of your own race, but you complain when white people say you look like gorillas...... YOUR IDIOTS..!

when you go out, whenever it is to wherever it is and you start feeling a little bit intimidated and insecure when you see a lighter black person (from which i'm judgeing, many of you do) because your drilling this s*it into your own mind.......Don't come on here making topics talking about light skin VS dark skin, which many of you have done in the past!

And yes, I have read the original meaning to this post, stateing black dark women are beautiful which is good, but at the end of the day it's just a topic to start a debate on something that has total irrelivance in our race!

He felt the need to express it and has the right to, even if you feel my comparison was sloppy, what I was trying to say was  that unless you are a black man, it is virtually impossible to see things through a black man's perspective. In fact you obviously see it through a black womans perspective.

Why you just couldn't enjoy the compliment without making it about men prefering light skinned women I dont know....sometimes I think black men are damned if they do and damned if they dont.

So what was your reasoning or purpose for YOUR poem ?

Was it just reaction to some of the male posters, because you think they are light skinned/ white woman  loving black men?

Anyhoo.............I have more important things to talk about, so this is the last you will hear from me to you in this matter.............other than the few unecessary diggs made in Jason x's poem, I thought the poem was rather nice and from what so many dark skinned women on this site seem to say, over and over again, much needed and welcomed by them.

So you can continue complaining that dark women are overlooked and simultaneously being offended and angry when they are complimented...its really up to you.

Why dont I just enjoy the compliment??? Well its patronising and condescending for starters.. and then it ends with the laughable quote by Tupac, which although I know is a saying which is as old as time,I find HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELARIOUS coming out of his mouth.

If Jason X was waxing lyrical about the merits of black women in general without putting the hue issue into into then that would be fair enough.

Jason X,s intentions were probably innocent and pure, its just when he closed with that Tupac quote, thats what made me scream with laughter!! and this was the IMPETUS for my poetic retort.

I know you have "far more important things to be talking about" so I wont be expecting a reply,My meaning is clear and I suspect a lot of people reading this thread a 100% understand my meaning ,so thats enough for me.

And please dont put words in my mouth,I never once said I was"angry" about Jason X,s poem,if anything I am INSULTED that we live in a climate where this type of accolade is necessary.

At  this point I would like one of the moderators  to come in and assess the tone of this thread and do with it what they will.niceone.gif

^^ what the contradiction there...

just face it the truth hurts.

There always one stupid topic about.. ooh whos color is better than the other.

topics like

ooh are the white people scared of Black beauty.

ooh light skin gurls are too full of them selves.

Dark skin is the real black color

ooh I hate that brother cuz he has a light skin girl.

ooh shes not black cuz shes too light.

Same old fraff!!! every weak its almost predictable. The topic is usually by some dark skin person trying to proove some kind of point. Which is simply a complex.

Am gonna speak from my point of view.

Have been with the darkest of sisters and the lightest that you can think off. One thing I learn is beauty as no color. There beauty in every shade. I dont beleive one is better than the other.

Yes I do agree. Dark skins get sh*tted on in our society. but if you are dark skin and you are pretty believe me you will get your shine .. True story..

And may I just end this nonsense, with the final point, let this be the moral to this story shall we, where we can all meet in agreement,

That "...At the end of the day, the beauty of personality will always win over anything external, you can't depend on beauty... it can't make you smile... it can't take care of you, if you fall ill, beauty is just beauty. Like an art work... but a PERSON IS DIVINE.

"just face it truth hurts"

yes this precisely why some people were so quick to jump down my neck.

And I didnt turn this into a light-skinned,dark-skinned debate, I was simply making an observation about the pedestal these women are put on in our culture and often times the light-skinned sister is a passive participant in this PIGMENTOCRACY(say that fast 10 times;)) it is how she is responded too which I find interesting.

And believe me I am not some bitter, insecure dark woman,I may be insecure sometimes about my intellect,my bass playing, any number of things but my colour has NEVER been one of them.

My point is this.........and I will see if I can make it crystal clear this time.

Darks skinned women should not just be thrown some random bits of chivalry, respect and acknowledgements,it should be de riguer and on par with every other hue in our race.

So when you do deign to bung a compliment our way are we expected to start genuflecting and saying"Oh thank you Kingman for acknowledging my existance, for thinking me worthy of praise, for thinking me human, wherever did you find the time?, now that I know you love me too my life can continue I can uncurl myself from the foetal position ive been lieing in for the last 20 years waiting for you to see me as equal, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Its a good thing dark-skinned sisters havnt been sitting around waiting for the occasional compliment, otherwise we would have been ded arf, long time,Seen.;)

Black women ARE shown respect and acknowledgment

Only problem is ...some women are not satisfied and will never be satisfied until every single black man on this earth shows them this ...

I personally think the women in question need to get over it and know when to accept a compliment  confused3

Thats all i got to say on this ,
