My Mother and Father both raised me from diapers to manhood
They made sure I became strong, freethinking and independent
My Father taught me the importance of being responsible, thoughtful and hard working
Along with teaching me how to sacrifice what I want for what is needed by me and my love ones around me
My Mother taught me how to love and to respect myself, my feelings and in doing so I learned how to respect others
It wasn’t until much later in life that I learned to love a woman through learning how to love myself first
And when I found her I spoke my heart
My truth, with out hesitation because
Loving myself means allowing others to accept me for me
So I presented the real self and she chose to love me
Do you know how it feels to be loved
Truly loved, not for how you look or how good you lay pipe
She loves me with that love that leaves me speechless
I can see that she loves my hands and how they feel on her
Their strength and their soft strokes
And she loves my eyes actually noticing that they are light brown and truly not just brown
Her eyes tell me that she adores my legs
I can see the residue of fantasies that she sees within my stance
I know she loves me by the way she feels in my arms
How my heart sinks deep then rises to the highest heights
By how she listens to me intently, giving guidance, trust and illumination
She shares her knowledge, her life and all that she is
Hum, she even allows me to be boyish, piggish and indulgent
She joins me in my weakness and enhances them into strengths
Every morning, afternoon and evening, I am smiling inside out
Their isn’t a person alive who knows me, who doesn’t know who my heart lives for
See what I am saying is that
I haven’t felt loved like this since my parents first showered their love on me
And like that same child, I learn from what I see, what I feel and what I hear
My baby, is my friend, lover, teacher and mate
And yes I know she loves me
As much as I love her
Just look at this smile across my face
