Hi Village
I was wondering well i would just like to know your opinion
I think this village could do with a recipe forum. I can only get so many tips from ja forums and hubs. I am expanding my tastebuds and retraining my pallette. however i just want to refine my skills
please take part in the straightforward poll and leave comments
if you feel food and drink is already covered in this village just say where
we often do speak about food on here
food is a communal thing and a family thing
ok you dont have to give out the family secret ingredient ok

I say yes.
However I am only able to share vegetarian recipes of which I have a million and one.
But I dont know how to bake and would like to learn how to bake cookies and cakes which dont involve eggs.
Milk and butter is cool,but absolutely NO egg recipes.

I voted yes, I think that is a great idea. I remember that thread we had, villagers really got into it.
JB, I know my sister would be grateful if you did so I could print them off for her. She wants to be a vegetarian but struggles with what to cook so has reverted back to meat...but I know deep down she wants to be a veggie.

Thats a big tasty juicy suculent fat yes from me
I think cooking is not only a basic skill we should take for granted but it is an art.
I for one would definately like to learn more about sourthern cooking and authenic southern recipes.
Also feel we should look towards helping each other eat more healthily due to the high Diabetes/blood presure in our community.
On top of that we cannot get away from the fact that authenic cultural cooking be it west indian food or good old fashioned southern wholesome food has become a dying art.
Its time to get the young folk into the kichen and a cooking good wholesome food for their youngen. Okay we now know we have to cut back on the grease and fat but we can still eat our cultural food healthily.

Yeah I think a forum might work better than a thread because then individual recipies could get feedback from people who tried them out and suggestions for improvements etc...
A forum would work better for refferencing and looking for ideas better than one single thread that gets lost as well
