as promised I've created a new Forum as requested....This will be for a trial period..to see if it works.. It will also be strictly marshalled all non serious threads, posts will be removed without warning..

The Sphinx won't believe his eyes. He'll think he's smoked too many joints and seen too many nasty videos.
Personally, I hate philosophy.
I think Philosophy is the antithesis of positive action.

I would argue that without some type of philosophy there can be no action at all, whether positive or negative.

Well, let's start with this. "Philosophy" (from dictionary.com) is a "system of thought based on inquiry", an "investigation of the nature, causes, or principles of reality, knowledge, or values, based on logical reasoning rather than empirical methods".
From this, if we as Africans do not already have our own philosophy for which we approach different aspects of life, then we have no means for progress. You can not plan and theorize, if you do not at first have a philosophy for your thought process. We would have no physicists, chemists, geneticists and so forth if not for the philosophy known as the scientific method. We would probably have no reliable automobiles, airplanes, computers (hardware & software), and the countless things you rely on that were engineered without an engineering philosophy typically encompassing 4 stages (specifications, requirements, design, & maintenance, which in themselves have a philosophy for implementation). Without a philosophy, a people cannot govern themselves in the way they feel things should work. Without a philosophy, you don't even possess the fundamentals to do any kind of reasoning within the realm of logic. Without philosophy, there can be no progress...

Cool with the forum KF, only noticed it yesterday. Do we have the BNV book club going yet or is that something for later?
Everything is Philosophy S.K, could make it a topic to debate on if you wanted, I think Toths started if you want to follow on.
Can't wait to get stuck in.
