Can I make it clear that this is an enquiry not a complaint.


In regards to the Chair of Governors, in conclusion, Mr Andrew Nicholas is a Racist suspect and cannot be trusted. It is also possible that he is working to abuse non-white children. He will be investigated in due course.


In regards to the School Race Equality Scheme I will follow your advice.


In my original email copied below, for your convenience, who can I ask for answers to the specific questions 1, 2, and 3?

I think it is safe to say that we all would agree that the clearest evidence of the prescence of Racist Child Abusers at any School is their total disregard for Race Equality and their incompetence in the management of a School's Race Equality/Diversity Scheme.
 
 
Racist Child Abusing staff fail to monitor the performance the School's Race Equality/Diversity Scheme and do not take the problem of Institutional Racism and it's impact on the non-white community seriously.
 
 
 
Can I safely assume that you Edith Mooney are still working as best you can to get answers to all the important questions I asked of below?

Aylward School Commitment

The Governors and Staff of Aylward School wish to state that we are committed to working with all our communities to ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed, and that no member of this school will suffer or be disadvantaged by direct or indirect racial discrimination.
At all times we will be vigilant for aspects of our work and play, which may hurt or disadvantage others. All acts of bullying or harassment will not be tolerated. Racism in all its forms is not acceptable and will be challenged generally, but particularly where the provisions of the Race Relations Act are broken.
This school will work within the provisions of the law, and do everything to meet the Standards for Race Equality as laid out by the Commission for Racial Equality in ‘Learning for All’.

Aims

At Aylward School we aim to promote racial equality through the following areas:-

Leadership and Management commitment
Clear vision and long term school development
Clear expectations that all members of the school community
are equally valued and respected
Staff commitment and involvement to a shared vision,

Procedures for Reporting/Recording and Monitoring Racial Incidents

Definition of a racial incident
Racial incidents can take a variety of forms and include:
· Name-calling - insults, jokes, taunts on the basis of race
· Racist graffiti - on walls, books, desks, school bags
· Racist badges
· Literature - eg. Books, comics or leaflets containing racist material
· Comments - eg. in discussion during a lesson
· Refusal to sit next to, co-operate or work with someone of a different ethnic group
· Attempting to recruit to racist groups or organizations
· Threat or actual physical assault

Procedures

1. Immediate Action
a. Reporting
b. Consideration of any previous events/incidents (if any)
c. Parental contact

2. Outcomes/Strategies
Incidents that occur in the classroom enable the teacher to make explicit teaching points to reinforce the school policy on racism, so that pupils recognize what is racist bahaviour and what impact it has on the recipient.
Having stopped the incident and called for the attention of other pupils, staff should challenge racist behaviour and emphasise school expectations. The emphasis should be upon the message that racist behaviour will not be tolerated and that recipients of racial harassment will be supported.

3. Serious Incidents
Any serious incidents must be reported to the London Borough of Enfield’s Racial Incidents Action Group (RIAG). These may include racial harassment of pupils or racist bullying or harassment of staff by pupils, parents or other members of staff. (Please see Appendix 1)

4. Agencies

The school will contact relevant community groups to provide guidance and mentoring following racial incidents of a serious nature. In school, named persons will be responsible for mentoring relevant parties as part of the procedures following reported incidents.


Implementation Strategy

The following is a summary of recommendations by the London Borough of Enfield’s EMA team, that held a review in the school in June 2005. These will be the school’s key areas for development over the next 3 years:-

v Raising the achievement of ethnic minority and bilingual pupils will be recognized as a whole school concern
v The profile of the EMA team should be raised and the work of the team central to curriculum development;
v Strategic deployment informed by data analysis, should be made of EMA team members
v Partnership teaching should be the model used to develop good practice
v Advanced bilingual learners, in addition to early learners of English need to be the focus of collaborative work between mainstream teachers and the EMA team
v Training needs of mainstream and EMA staff need to be identified and INSET provided.

An enquiry about Institutional Racism is most often interpreted as harrassment by Racist White people and Black people who have been serious retarded since childhood by the White Supremacist Racist activity in the Educational, Social and Justice services.

 

The enquiry still goes on behind the scenes unnoticed and unrecognised and is in no way concluded despite appearances to the contrary.

 

 

 

RESS says: "Sometimes one must cast ones pearls before swine because what appears to be swine might be human beings who have suffered so much Racist abuse that these human beings are easily mistaken for swine."

The enquiry is ongoing.

 

Results will be published on completion.

 

Have you Kunjufu  now understood and accept that an enquiry about Racist Activity and the abuse of Black children in a school is not harrassment?

 

Can you Kunjufu now understand and accept that the priority here is not whether suspect Racist White people in positions of power think they are being harrassed or not and that the priority is the welfare of the children classified as Black?

1. Awareness of the problem has been raised thus making sure that the issue of Racism will be extremely difficult to ignor in the decision making processes.

 

2. Awareness of this Counter-Racist strategy has been raised thereby inspiring Black people to consider this new approach and adapt it suit their needs.

 

3. The school has now been primed for further more drastic RESS action when and if necessary.

 

4. Black people who do nothing accept complain will be inspired to actually do something about their situation even if they may disagree with the RESS strategy.

 

5. Black people who are in the habit of blameing the children for the trouble they experience at school will now consider the alternative and most likely source of the trouble.

 

6. More Black people than before are now aware of the work RESS is doing and have contacted RESS for advice on their projects.

 

7. RESS has received encouragement from staff and parents a the school for raising the issue.

 

8. RESS has received both positive and negative feedback which will help in the further development and refinement of future Counter-Racism strategies.

 

9. RESS has had an opportunity to speak to some of the older children about the value in understanding the environment and system to create strategies for achievement and self-defence without the use of violence.

 

10. More achievements will be recognised over time. . . .
