Ok Honestly now Africans what do you serious expect to spend this Xmas (madness Season) approx...

By that I mean food, travel and presents...all told what do you expect to spend on this once year madness..

and for parents with children..what is the most you intend to spend on a single present?

What is too much to spend?

What is too little to spend?

Is giving just money, in-personal and lazy?

Madness is right!

I've never saved up just for xmas presents, never gone mad either, only spend what I can afford. Never with credit either!

My kids always get way too much, mostly because i don't buy toys at any other time of the year.  Usually spend close to a grand between the two of them on games, bikes, clothes, books, dvds etc. Playstation 3 being pushed back killed my plans this year!  Most expensive pressie will be Xbox 360, think it costs £300.

Whatever I have left to spend goes to the nieces and nephews, siblings and friends get alcohol!

How much is too much? - too much is leaving yourself bruk pocket in January!

Nothing is too little really, its supposed to be the thought that counts after all! Best presents are usually the little cheap & cheerful ones that you know someones put a lot of thought into, like the ones the kids make at school.

Most i've ever spent on xmas pressie was a holiday for my mum.

I'd give money to my older nieces and nephews, and maybe to friends who i know could do with it, spend it on their kids for example. May seem inpersonal but some really appreciate it.

With so many nieces, nephews & friend's kids to buy for it's going to be expensive!

I've managed to pick up a few bargains - the main being Bratz dolls at £1.99 each! Unfortunately I have more boys than girls to buy for.

This will be Baby's first Xmas, and I've already bought a treehouse thingy for him, but I know he'll be spoilt rotten. Plus it's his birthday on 16th January, so I'm sure I'll pick up a few bargains in the sales. No 1 son will be getting another xbox....not a 360 'cos he'll only mash it up like the last one!

No-one else is getting anything this year. With 30+ kids to buy for I don't think we'll be able to eat!

My son wants a lap top this year!  As they get old things seem to cost more and the amount of gifts get smaller when he was a toddler he always seemed to have loads to open. I tried to remember what I had been given for Christmas last year and couldn't so I wonder why I buy into the madness.  The bits I remember is the food and the company.  I'm thinking of telling everyone not to bother with xmas presseys for me this year.
