Donzwifey, the video was beautiful...and yes I did get teary, it was quite emotional. Glad to see your son looking so strong and healthy in those pictures...he must be really big now
Hey Maat sis *hugs* Baby Maat has had chicken pox already? My niece has only had colds and viruses. LOL@his food monitoring-so funny. My niece watches you if she's wary of you...she may not like you, but she wants to know exactly where you are.
She is now 20 months and can talk (although her sentences are still in babytalk), she knows when to say no and yes, can count to five, knows and can say/point out her body parts, says boy and girl (and can tell the difference), says bye, mummy, daddy, nana and 'shell (she can't same my name properly...although she is starting to sort of say aunty now). And she understands what you say to her, she is cheeky though. Daddy is the one not to messed with but mummy is the one she can play up with. At the moment her favourite advert is the car ad with the Sean paul...anytime that is on, she will start dancing and saying ''come on'' it is too funny!

Vezz - children are truly a blessing, the best gift on earth.
Anybody worrying about bringing children into this world need to check this. Me and the ex wife had a blood incompatability which resulted in my first boy needing a blood transfusion. You can have the biggest plans in the world for your children but nothing is guaranteed. Good thing was they were prepared second time around.
For all my plans and failed preparations, seeing my boy in the incubator made me realise I could have had Buckingham Palace waiting for him, his life isn't a guarantee. To this days I got people who will tell you my biggest depression was not having had somewhere for him to live after searching hard during the pregnancy....and that includes the ex. Believe me you simply respect the life.
When I look back at my life, no matter what the future has in store, I think of my boys and recognise blessings. Two boys and one on my birthday, don't see blessings and not know they are blessings. You know that saying it's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved, for me the significance of that saying only came to fruition when I had children.

That is really sweet.

Kibbi - it's all good.
Just for you...let me know if you want to come
Where must I find a place to live in this jungle created by mankind
where will I lay my weary head, tell me,
how will I find a peace of mind
some say earth a run red, man and man must insure them head
but I feel like running instead -yeah-
and find me a place, I'll be free -woh-
I will take me over hills and the valleys, yes
I will find me a place, I'll be free, yes
I'll take me far away from the city
Mother nature is calling me
So many years in starvation and I can't find a thing to 'nyam'
sometimes I contemplate and wonder what's wrong
though I drive so hard I just can't get along
man to man is unjust -yeah-
and I don't know who to trust
still I say living is a must
so I'll find me a place where I'll be free
Yes I'll take me over the hills and valley, yes
I'll find me a place, I'll be free, yes
I'll take me far away from the city,
Mother nature is calling me
Doing my best to serve mankind
to liberate the captivated mind
still they don't seem to hear my call
so I won't linger and perish with them at all
some say earth a run red
man and man must insure them head
but I feel like running instead
and find me a place where I'll be free
Yes I'll take me over the hills and valley, yes
I'll find me a place I'll be free
I will take me far away from the city

Is this normal? cos I'm thinking they need separating for him to develop his own personality. LOL how old are they? It sounds funny the way you explain it. It does sound normal the more your youngest sees he can do, the more he will experiment and try his own way of doing things.
There's a kind of kane and abel thing going on as well where they vie for my favouritism. Trying to convince them I love them both equally but even the other day we were having a play fight and they were both arguing saying he's my daddy - it was then I realised they think I'm one of their toys You are! Didn't you read the contract lol. My oldest two were having the same kind of argument in the hospital when baby Maat was born..."He's my brother" "No he's my brother!"

@BB: Yes he had the chicken pox from my oldest son who had it a week earlier. I didn't think he'd get it either but in a way at least that parts out of the way.

@Vezz: Where's my manners?! Good to see you too sis . Did all of your children start walking around the same time?
My first two started at 11 months and so did baby Maat. I was peeping to see if he would follow suit LOL. They weren't as stable as baby Vezz sounds though. It is veery cute seeing them waddling around so small!

Hey Maat,
My daughter walked at 15 months, No 1 Son at 13, so Baby is the quickest.
He's also the fastest at getting teeth. He now has 4, with another on the way.
Will be putting him into his bed in his room this week - wish me luck!

even more he is 18months and he already answers back with NO!
hmmm he still loves his bottle but is starting to go asleep without the bottle. he is down to one bottle a day
he loves his veg.

anyone else mix up the childrens names when calling them.....like your parents used to do
been in my friends house and heard his mother call him every sons name first before finally calling him by his name..
finding I already do that with my two...and i always thought only old people do that

Yes, I'm guilty of mixing my kids names up - comes with the territory. And yes, you are officially old now.
My Mum used to call my brothers, sister, then THE DOG's name before getting to me .
I still tease her about it, as well as when her eyebrows were singed off in the oven (but that's another story that I'm still laughing about over 30 years later!)

@Incognito: LOL yes I do this even bring other family names into it *shakes head*. By the time I get the name right I sometimes even forget what it was I was trying to quickly say!
I remember once when hubby was tying my oldest sons lace he was calling him hard meaning to call baby Maat...wondering why baby Maat wasn't coming. My oldest eventually said in confusion "But I'm here" then hubby realised that he was calling the wrong name
@All: Sometimes baby Maat has been swallowing his food rather than chew it first. Are any other babies doing this? Even when I break it smaller for him he will swallow. I'm finding that I have to show him the chewing motion so he can get the point.

Maat - my first boy is terrible. When he eats his two jaw corners are always full. He's glutten just like I was. Think I'm gonna force him to eat his meals using chopsticks
On the names thing, it's amazing how you go through t he lengths of chosing a name for them yet for the most part you only use their real names when you are serious or they are in trouble. Think I've got about half a dozen nicknames for each of my boys. One name just seems to evolve from the other
Also I never hear about children wetting the bed anymore. Maybe the one or two incidents but nothing chronic the way it used to be when I was growing up. I think one of my brothers stopped wetting his at 11

I end up calling them all Baba and it makes things easier until they all start turning round when you say it I suppose you can just point to the one you mean...

We stopped him drinking a lot during the day and that worked a bit then there were times when he will just not get up to go to the toilet. My daughter broke out of it a lot sooner.
