Ok I’ll probably sound stupid for asking but is there any chance that you could have gotten conception date mixed up? See I always wondered how accurately they work out date of conception if you are married and i am assuming most probably get busy daily non? And also some women’s periods are unpredictable so how can they be sure what week you conceived let alone what day?

Abs.. the doctors add two weeks to date you last had your period. I can't remember why..but it means you can have your baby either side of your due date.. ie two weeks before due date..hence some people being early.. or anything up to two weeks after .. so due date is 40 weeks.. but in effect you could go up to 42 weeks.. I went into my 42 week/was two weeks over-due! was very frustrating ..

Abs, it still isn't an exact science, though they can tell through the baby measures. Some women even have a mild period after they are pregnant (breakthrough bleed) which may mess up the conception date even more.
LadyVee, I am amazed that you are Rh- and they haven't induced yet. Make sure baby keeps dancing but do not hesitate to go back to hospital if you feel abnormally uncomfortable. If you feel they are fobbing you off, tell them you want to talk to a Consultant, not one of the blinking SHOs.

i wish i knew what it was like to carry full term but at the same time i dont envy you. baby may come friday my day
roughly this time last year i was panicking thinking my filling had ruptured and that i was being poisoned by them only to find out few weeks later i had a bun in the oven.
i will pray for you lady vee
hospital sent me home when i was spotting only to keep me in the next day as my waters broke. funny thing well not funny i wasnt even gonna call them the next day
baby soon come

Baby boy, born 2.44am on 16th January 2006, weighing 8lb 3oz.
He was definately overdue as his skin was wrinkled and peeling.
Well, after my last post I felt more and more pain. I started timing the contractions at about 7pm. I called Hubby when they were 15 minutes apart and he came home.
My daughter looked after my son when, at about midnight, my language became coarse and we went to the hospital. We arrived at about 12.30am. By this time the contractions were every 5 minutes.
Well, THE PAIN!!! I called for EVERYONE in that delivery room! Lawd God, JesusChristinHeaven etc, etc. I even caught myself singing "Doncha"(!). My language was FOUL, but the pain was terrible. I was screaming for the epidural but they had to give me antibiotics first. I threw up with the gas and air, and the TENS machine was a total waste of time and money. By the time I'd had the antibiotics I was fully dilated, and Baby just eased out.
No tears so no stitches.
Baby is absolutely beautiful. He is a bat baby though - he's asleep now so should be partying by 10pm.

Dem fling you out already...lawd Jesus, did they even give you a cup of tea FIRST before dem fling you out....LOL (ok seriously do they still give out a baby pack on release, you know free nappies and things like that for the new born?)
Second question did my boy come out of the womb wearing training pants or was he already potty trained...?

Congrats! You had a big boy and pushed him out with no epidural. You're my hero! LOL, I had a 10 pounder but I had a c-section. Such a chicken I am. Anyhoo, new babies and thrilling and I know you and your family are having tons of fun. May your new baby be blessed. Keep us updated as he grows!
Oh, has he peed on you yet? Jacob peed on me and everything else including his own face for months! Happy squirtings!
