You know it just reminded me that as a young man, brought up on TV and Flim prenancies.. can you imagine the surprise i got..when I discovered as a young man.. that women's bellies didn't go flat immediately after giving birth..
I remember the Shame asking a friend whom I thought was six/seven months pregnant how it was going only to be told she HAD the baby already... I thought floor, open, now!!!!

Taxi for kunjufu
I could only imagine the level of awkwardness attached to that. Must have been able to hear crickets and tumbleweed passing by
On topic:
Good luck to all the ladies having babies. seeing their little faces made it all worth it I bet
As Locsgirl once said, women create little miracles everyday when they give birth

@LadyDay: He is a trooper but sometimes the feeding is for so long. He'll sleep for ages then wake up and nyam down the place before he goes off again! It's all good though. When is your little man coming home? How are you feeling anyway? It's all good having the babies but it doesn't stop once we give birth. I'm in the phase of the tears waiting for the hormones to get back to some kind of balance. Just gotta ride this part though. I have to say that hubby has been such a good help. Once he got the feeling back in his hands and checked all bones were still in tact after the delivery LOL, he's done really good to take the lead with the others.
@Kunjufu: For real I had the same that's why I made a point to say that my belly goes down quite quick after having the children. I asked a sister once when she was due only to find that the baby next to her was her baby. Her stomach looked quite big still . I just shut my mouth...I coulda share that Taxi with you man.
@Mafdet: Thanks sis. I'm waiting to hear about the girls too. Lady Vee is right. With all these boys who going to keep the family growing

@kunjufu.....i thought the same thing myself. i always assumed baby pops out belly flatten. but i know different now. but having said that. i was in a church a week after having my son and was told someone had commented that i dont look pregnant. in fact looking at me now you wouldnt think that i got post preggers belly (stretch marks aside) i am just such an exception. so it all depends.
@maat...they havent said when exactly they still waiting on him to eat properly by mouth. build up his strength etc. i feeling ok. just taking each day as it comes

Lol @ Kunjufu.
I don't even look pregnant now. With my other 2 also, I didn't show until I was about 7 months gone, and I was a lot slimmer then! Still can't get a seat on public transport, and I'm counting the days before I leave work - can't come soon enough for me.
I think Mistriladi will have a girl. She's gonna have a lot of boys to choose from!
@ LadyDay,
He'll be home soon, don't worry. He's a fighter!
@ Maat,
Typical Virgo - right on time! We all know babies only eat, sleep and you know what - just boys never grow out of it!
Hubby has said he'll be in the delivery room, but out of hitting range. I'm practising my throwing arm right now.....

Really well. The children were getting impatient themselves before he came but they had been talking and rubbing belly long beforehand. Now he's here they've relaxed. Daddy's getting into the swing of the night shift again . The rest of the family will be seeing him tonight.
LOL @ LadyVee about the sleeping. Your husbands brave. Was it him that got lick with the iron?
@LadyDay: Great he's eating better now. He's progressing fast so it's all good

I can't remember throwing the iron at him (though it is possible), but definately my good, £60 kettle.
He shouldn't have ducked.....................

Pregnancy can be risky, both for the mother and the unborn baby. My first pregnancy was an ectopic pregnancy, which meant I lost my left tube along with my unborn baby. Fortunately I got pregnant again a year later...but the doctors thought I was going through another ectopic pregnancy because they detected a big cyst at the base of my right ovary. Fortunately, with further tests, they realize it was just a harmless cyst, afterall and nothing more sinister. I ended up having a healthy baby boy after all that drama. But I won't be having anymore...

LadyDay,

After a hard week, this news has made me smile.
He's a little fighter, and I'm sure you and Hubby will enjoy having him around.
Once again, massive congratulations.

YAAAAAY at last. I was itching to know when he will be home and finally with his family. I hope you all are settling in well. Thank goodness he is still eating well and putting on the weight.
I'm not sure why people are telling you to give him formula already. It still seems so early but you know there is a great divide on what is best for baby. If you're producing enough milk then I don't see a problem. Whatever you feel happy with go with it. I breast fed until both weren't interested although I combined the formula when they started to eat solids because expressing was sometimeish.
@Mums to be: How you all doing. You've gone quiet on us .

Yes. My children are two years between each although my last wasn't planned. The main reason is for them to grow close together. Also as much as we've always wanted a big family, I don't really want to be having babies for years to come.
Have you found it to be beneficial being close in age with your siblings?

Thanks for that. He is bringing me much joy and dare I say alot of experience I would have loved to have one more child, but that is not possible anymore, but I am so grateful for the one I have, considering there was a possibility at one time that I wouldn't have children at all.
