Hi all, unfortunately I have some bad news. I havent been in contact with the site as I had been in hospital since the beginning of June. I had the same thing as Donzwifey, open cervix at 3cm and bulging membranes. Though I was in hospital for 7 weeks, really amazed the docs as they were convinced i'd have my son as soon as i went in (24 weeks), I went to 31 weeks and then went into labour but my son was stillborn. This was nothing to do with his prematurity, he was a good weight of 4lb 4oz, but I had caught an infection which went into his lungs and caused him pneumonia and he had struggled and fighted to beat it but couldnt.
Really cant believe it, my boy was beautiful and due to a number of complications and hospital investigation etc he was only laid to rest last week. Cant go into too much detail but some element of negligence has been admitted as I was in labour for over 35 hours and nobody believed that I was actually in labour. Got a long road ahead of us but we are trying to be strong.
Please pray for us as we really need it.

I am fighting back tears as I write this.
I am so very, very sorry, BB. May his little, pure soul rest in peace.
I pray that you and your partner come together on this, as grief can separate couples.
My heart goes out to you both.

I'm really really sorry to hear of your lost, I know it must be very difficultt for you at this time, especially if as you suggest negligence played a huge part of this tragedy...nothing can be said that will lessen your grief...however i will hold you and your family in my personal thoughts....sad sad news..

Bahamas Babe - I know my response is late but I've only been logging onto the site sparadically and started on Page 1. Really and truelly sorry for your loss............. words cannot express.
Thanks for sharing your story as it will give me and all the other parents out there reference for when pregnancy/delivery goes wrong for many different reasons.
May you son rest in peace and to you and your partner stay strong and grieve until your hearts/minds recover.

DonzWifey - Your video and pictures were very touching. What is very weird is that you and Bahamas Babe had very similar situations.
Thanks for sharing your story.

I am about 6 weeks pregnant (although doctor and I are not sure of the dates as my periods are normally unpredicatable at best.
Having read everyone's stories I am scared to be going back there again (I already have a 5 year old daughter) but also excited.
Tired and moody as hell - and cannot find any food that tastes good, bought or home made favourites. Meal times are becoming a real nightmare as is brushing my teeth and walking around holding my breath incase someone's body odour or perfume is too strong.
