Such a pretty girl, author Bebe Moore Campbells daughter, seen in many videos and on In the House with LL Cool L.

There are reports of her stealing someones car and being arrested at a crack house in philly, apparently its well known that she is in the Phily area having sex for drugs.
Bebe wrote a book about a women having a daughter who was bi-polar and related it to real-life family experiences (the 72 hour Hold), Maia has 2 daughters and she recently lost her mother to brain cancer, where are her family at this time, she obviously nees help!
I bet she had lots of friends when she was on TV and on Tyrese & Fat Joe videos, where are they now?

She is suffering from more than bearevement......perhaps she had a drug problem well before her mother died? Sad though....does she not have any siblings?

It is very sad. I used to admire her beauty. Life can do funny things to you. You have to be strong and move on. I hope one day she will pick her self back up and find happiness. There was no need to post those pics at all. Some people have no respect or consciousnes. which is very sad.

Thank you Ms. Price. regarding what you wrote about ...there being no need to post those pics at all. Its a shame that this site remains bend on advertising all and ever type of tragedy involving African women. And for the record, its not about her having no respect or consciousness of self, perhaps there has been a lot of pain in this sister's life. Yet, you as others remain faithful in revealing the woes of African women.
Interesting... I wondering if this was a white woman engaging in a video of this nature would such spews of attack present. Interesting note the dialogue reflects on what she used to be and her family situation: Oh, yes, I remember now, "there is no business like show business".

I am offended Melissa and this is the first time that I am totally disguised and hurt by the way you highlighted my sister. And for the record, this thread you started has nothing to do with mental illness because You do not know this sister personally, nor have access to her medical records.
I am certain that you are not a psychiatric, psychologist, LPC, or clinical social psychatric but developed generalisations about my sister's plight without regard of knowing her or her situation and for that I will not engage in future conversations with you.
Its women like you who create issues for sisters like me without any concern of the pain and tribulations that black women must endure in this world, and then you have the nerve to attach mental label with this sister as a justification for your action.
You have no idea what that sister is going through, perhaps you should have been in Nazi Germany before the Second WORLD WAR, and experience the hand of the left by co-existing as other German Jews have then we can talk about mental defect.
What you did is unacceptable. And you are not qualified to make a defence whatsoever about this sister's plight as you have not lived her *skin* or know what her life entails.
Instead what you do is gossip, so don't tell me anything about highlighting mental illness, (perhaps your own) and how it exist in the black community.
What does featuring my sister's website have to do with you personally? Or, are you looking to assist her in recovery since you attach mental illness with her behaviour? Or, are you looking to gain insight from other onlines as the best method to approach her?
I don't think so, what you did is feature her site, talked about her and nothing more. And that dear is not education but venturing in a conversation for your own personal reasons.
Then again, I noticed this type of behaviour from you, you create threads, then gossip about folks as if there life experience is yours, without reason as to ways of aiding any one who you assumed has 'issues'. And you love to develop threads reflecting on black women sadness or pain only to reinforce the label of the 'mad black woman'.
Any real black woman as myself can view that sister's site and generate an understanding of her pain, yet in this case, you used her moment of weakness, not as an informer but to start a conversation as a guider to disrespect, disassoicate, and for obvious reasons that has nothing whatsoever to do with education (as you stated, to highlight mental illness).
No dear you are very wrong!!! and that is unforgiveable. I only hope that when my husband finally returns that he deals specifically with the likes of women like you FIRST.

She played in sitcoms in the 90s.
Remember LL Cool J's sitcom "IN the house" I think was the name of it and she played Debbi Allen's daughter.
She was very pretty back then but crack takes down any and everything. The sad part is that I am sure the pictures are only the tip of the iceberg. I have seen some people do some pretty self demeaning things for the crumbs left over from rocks.....

This is girl is just one of nthe many young Black females who have gone off the rails in the entertainment industry, many may not have a pronounced drug problem, but you can tell they have deep issues.
Hope she gets better, along with the rest of them. Its never easy to lose a parent especially mother, Maia has had a drug problem in the past and is known to be promiscous in the industry. I hope she has people who will pull her aside and help her to sort herself out. This is just very sad.
