I will prob get shot for saying this but this program exposes how some of these asians, and white people operate in business and the corporate world when it comes to us in authority.

Asians have always had a prob with black people in Authority and so have white people. when you reach a Management role in the workplace where you are giving out the orders to them all their insecurities come out.

Although I do think jadine did make mistakes on that task It was obvious she didn't have the support of the team from the get go. If your team leader is making mistakes or errors there is a certain way you go about putting them on the right path if you feel they are wrong. Aggresion is not called for and is the sign of a weak comunicator. And this asian fella showed his lack of respect for jadine by getting aggresive with her, and not listening to her.

We had one Asian arshole in the last series by the name of Syed Ahmed.

Seems like we got an even bigger Asian arsehole this year he is definately not going to last that's for sure he doesn't strike me as someone whom is willing to listen to others.

I am just waiting for Sir Alan to tear strips off him within the forthcoming weeks lol. Lets see if he will try getting lippy in the boardroom.

Sir Alan made me laugh when he pulled him up on the group name lol he tried to use a name of a company he used to work for lmao Sir Alan is not going to put up with his nonsense.

I also like the way sir Alan mentioned from the start that he hates it when people say they came from the same background as him  lol our friend Syed pulled that stunt at every opportunity in the last series I think be began to tick Sir Alan off in the boardroom.

Did any of you know that Tim Campbell winner from apprentice 1 quit his job with Sir Alan.

I only found out by typing his name in google to find out what he is doing now.

Seems like he has his own plans now he has learned from Sir Alan.

Are you sure he quit? The job is as an apprentiship and they will take on a new one each time they do a new series. I hope Tim is doing well, he was my fave.

Yesterdays show flagged up some issues  Jadine will face in a leadership roll, she will have to distance herself from the stereotypes of the aggressive young black women she is up against. She wasnt in the house five minutes and one of her team mates confessed that she found her scary.

@Chi

No Tim quit,he used to run Sir Alans Health and beauty business

Last years winner Michelle Dewberry was running Sir Alans business that recycles computers.

Tim had a job with Sir Alan for as long as he wished to stay on as did series two winner.

This must be a concern for Sir Alan now as I think he intended for long term players to join him. Lets not forget most of Sir Alans top people that run his other companies have been with him for 25 + years.

In actual fact how it actualy works is the deal with Sir Alan is 100,000 a year. But the contract is for a year to be reviewed and renewed each year.

What has actualy happened in Tims case is he initialy had a year contract. Sir Alan was pleased with him and kept him on and renewed his contract for another year. Tim has done two years but has chosen not to renew the contract for the third year.

So in actual fact the media has made it out that Tim quit when in fact he has come to the end of his contract year which has to be reviewed and renewed on a yearly basis. But Tim has chosen not to renew it as he has other plans to go into business for himself and I say good luck to him.

Where as last years winner didn't renew her contract after the first year.

But I thought she didn't last out the year.  I read somewhere she left, got fired or whatever after 3 months.  No way she lasted out the year, surely?

@Backatcha, Zack

Michelle became pregnant for Syeed :shock: and subsequently resigned after about 3-5 months. She sadly lost the baby and eventually split up with the slime ball, she has apparently written a book about her life and success, she is also flitting in and out of wotless reality/ tv shows - celebrity hair salon, richard and judy; escorting their resident holiday jet setter to euro cities.

I am actually surprised to find myself saying this, but I really feel that the issues Jadine had with her team were as much (if not more) about the way she handled the whole leadership thing as it was about the way the men took to her.

I mean it was telling for me at the end in the boardroom when Alan asked the men how she was as a leader and all but that Asian guy (man that guy would make war with the Smurffs) said they thought she was good.  Compared to the fact that girls strained to open their mouth when Alan asked the question of them about their leader.

However, Jadine went into some ramble about how she thought the guys had issues with being led by a woman.  I was thinking......silly woman shut the **** up.  Even if you thought that, use some tactics.  Since they said you were a good leader (whether it was entirely genuine or not) don't cause friction at the off, by putting them down en mass like that.  Play it cool, and lull them a bit.  Instead of having them think....."huh, what?  That's well charming that is, and after we said you were a good leader too"

You could see a couple of the guys looked visibly taken aback by her comments.  It was almost as if she was putting them down right there in the Boardroom.  Not a good tactic in my mind and I think will make them even more weary and less accepting of her.

Anyhow, for me she, and that wet blanket leading the women's team where pretty much shyte at the leadership thing and with running what I think was one of the more easier tasks the teams have had in all the series so far.

She went about it as if she was setting up some exclusive restaurant......talking about promoting the Eclipes brand with fancy shaped sprinkles on the coffee.....what the!  Then to pull the van away from a relatively lucrative spot at what was prime coffee selling time (i.e. the early part of the day), totally bemused me! :shock:

As I watched the carnage of the first task, I was saying to the wife, "Whichever team loses will see the Team Leader sack".  They are both terrible.  One (Jadine) was trying to make it more complicated than it needed to be.....keep it simple... and the other was.....well......just pure simple!  I never saw a person, claiming to have aspirations of being a leader in business, change his mind so many times......and that was before the bloody task even started. confused3  Still, his begging won the prize for 'cringe effect'

Respect

Backatya - spot on. I think Alan might give her the benefit of the doubt and see her as a rough diamond that just needs trimming. She has a serious mouth on her, she's probably hoping Alan like a bit of black.

Backatya: co-sign your thoughts.....I actually wondered considering her history that was reported in the papers whether she was beginning to become unwell again......some of her behaviour could be constrused as paraniod, obcessive and disinhibative...Especially in the boardroom...

I'm not sure that it was a good idea to put someone with her history into that type of pressurised environment.....It will be interesting to see how things develop...

@BLACKATYA

The apprentice website states Michelle Dewberry worked with Sir Alan for 12 months. But I read somewhere there were isues with her and sir Alan, as her personal life was begining to clash with work as she wanted to mix business with play and we all know Sir Alan wasn't going to stand for any of that.

I heard it was a mutual agreement between Sir Alan and her that things were not working out.

As for jadine I still believe she didn't have the respect from the get go. I accept this could have had somthing to do with how she aproached the task, but I have experienced this kind of hostility myself on many occasions in a team environment particularly when you are taking over or managing a team for the first time, however.When people see what you can do it normaly commands respect from those around you.

Jadine definately didn't do herself any favours with the headmistress aproach to leadership lol this never works. She needed a clear plan from the time she was around the table with her team.

 where she made the mistake was when they were all at base talking she allowed her team to take control and have their say first then she stepped in like she was a teacher calming rowdy schoolboys. Where as what was needed was direction from her to her team on who was going to do what, and how it was going to be done.

This task was not difficult, and I was a little disapointed in Jadine for making the mistake buying the wrong type of coffee.  Lack of attention to details such as this I believe also cost her credibility as leader.

Anyhow having said that I just hope she is a person whom will not take  wining the task for granted and be reflective on her actions so she can do better next time in the project manager role that's if she lasts of course lol.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. And then she ordered the men to join in the ridiculous dancing! I couldn't do something like that, knowing it was going out on national T.V. The shame would send me to an early grave.
