I have to say I was in shock when I listened to this, not of Vanessa Feltz, but shocked by the black man's derogatory and dated views about his own women. He didn’t offend me because what he saying was a load of shyte, however it scares me that he will one day have boy children and raise them to hate black women, which is very sad.
Do black men today, in all honesty, still have these opinions of black women? Because lets be honest, there are more than the odd one or two...

My choice of words stems from this mans opinions and other black men like him. Also 'lets be honest' here, there are many others outhere who DO think like him, you probably know several you're self. It is just compleltey shocking in this modern era that these views are still alive and kicking and what gets me is that the guy was so stupid, even Feltz was shocked. I hate stupid men.

What shocks me is that this man lives in cosmopolitan London, a melting pot of diverse black people from all over the world and he wants to go on the radio and chat shyte about black women, as sterotypical asexual mammie figures? | So Beyonce and halle berry who clearly display some white women's features are the only black women he finds attractive? this is very sad coming from a black man and should be a lesson to what damage slavery and colonialism did to some black people's self-image; I never heard dispicable language about my mums, aunties,sisters,cousins and sisters like this until I came to live in the UK. Back in Burundi in Africa where I come from, having a very dark spotless skin, dark gum and white teeth,a nice booty and lovely legs was the epitomy of nobless,elegance,grace and dignity, then I hear people like this guy and feel like...???!!!

Listen. Don't let your blood pressure run too high over stuff like this.
At the end of the day Vanessa's show, just like other of these 'shows for the white palate' are designed to perpetuate the views of ignoranmous like this guy. His comments would have been screened before he was let on air and the fact that he said 'the right thing' for the show ensured he got aired.
Vanessa was propably lapping it up, given that she is a sack full of insecurity, self-doubt and low self-esteem walking around in the guise of a 'strong woman'. Exactly the type of white woman who needs the 'assurance' that she is better than a black woman. Vanessa couldn't compete with a younger, slimmer, better looking woman when her ex dumped her, so for consolation (and to get back at him no doubt) she went hunting down half-blind black men and since she grabbed one she has to keep on assuring herself that she is better than the very woman she knows deep down she can't hold a candle to - The Black Woman. Her radio show and the 'rent-a-moron' whose comments got centre stage all help in her therapy.

I dont understand why people are questioning if some black men 'still act like this'. Its just the tip of the iceberg IMO! Young boys are already thinking like this anyway. Going along with the fashion thing, far east asian girls now, white girls, light skinned black girls (or anything that 'resembles that) and then at the bottom of the heap black girls in general.
Its their problem yes, but we all know the reasons for why they think like this whether they want to make excuses like "i aint racist i love everybody"...apart from there own, due to lack of love for themself. All i can say o those men is i look limke you, you look like you mother and she BLACK...
Oh and to the part where he said black women are bitter...BITTER AT WHAT...THAT YOU HAVE A WHITE WOMEN...Thats his problem. I know black women are beautiful. I wonder if he wpuld call all those women in the 'african women are underated fir their beauty' thread. REPULSIVE

But we should, don't you find his thoughts strange and pre-dated that it should be questioned and not ignored, this is 2007 not 1987. I just don't understand his ideology and that is why i have to question it.
Men that I come into contact with who are either African or Caribbean/latin american (of all colours) have much love and respect for black women of all colours. I have too noticed that this same love and respect is not given by some British borns which is seen as on going problem in England and should also be discussed. However i actaully thought that these types of views had vanished due to the 'black middle class' and 'black media'. Thus we should question why a grown man had to air his views the way he did and 'put down' women of the same culture and skin colour as him.
In regards to young black boys, I really would not know where to start.

Zack: if this thread turns stupid then believe me it will be locked off pronto.....However there is a point of discussion about SOME of the younger generation who THINK like this moron Phillipe (the name alone should warn you about this saddo moron), the fact is some of them THINK they are being OPEN minded and 'enlighten' in their acceptence of every blouse and skirt Ooman under the sun....
I even had a 24 year old in my office bewildered when i told him openly that i don't date the bluefoot, and that i simply don't find them attractive...he thought i was stark raving mad..now in his defence he was raised in ESSEX..so it partly explains his stupidity..however he even had the stupidity to state that he thought I was an equal opportunity typ of guy, would date anything under the sun....
Now what i didn't bother to tell him, because quite frankly he wouldn't get it..is that I quite clear who and what i am..and because of this like an Asian, a European or a Jew I recognise the importantance of CULTURE and the procreation of the African FAMILY in the WEST.....
Unlike this young blud..who freely wears an ENGLAND shirt and does not understand the contradiction, who thinks it cool to support ENGLAND over the West Indies/Africa and who does not see racism until it slaps him six ways upside his head....and even then he trie to deny it....
In short Phillipe and brothers and sisters like him are the product of INTERGRETION IDEALOGY....that i dispise so much!!!

I'm 18- most of my black male friends get with any race really, but they see white girls generally 'easy', but they dont especially pick out what race they do and do not like. But these boys dont really have any kind respect for women in general to be honest...!
I know black boys from a white school i went to and they ONLY talk to white girls.. not even me.
On the other hand ive been with a boy for two years, whos been bought up really well his dad is a rasta. He loves his culture etc and is always teaching me things about half of my history... im actually surprised hes with me since im mixed raced (black/indian) and not fully black. However he dosnt go out of his way to disrespect white women just because thier white.
I think its just how boys are rasied and what friends they have etc. I dont think that man on the radio show would have those kind of views if his parents had bought him up differently.

I have met up with Vanessa i went to her show one day with a friend of mine when she used to do her show in the mornings years ago. I just wanted to see what i would look like on tv lol. I have still got the video at home. I used to quite like her but i don't really anymore.
Like a lot of people she has her insecurities.
I am not sure what to make of all of this. I am undecided as to her motives about this show or shall i say that caller.
My self esteem is to high for men like that affect me.

@Kunjufu, I dont even think it is integration in all all cases it is just out and out selloutism.
There are different types of men who date anything but Black. You get the first types who are the straight up bluefoot chasers and dont make no bones about or even tried to hide their obvious self hate ie phillippe.
Then you have the types. I call them them the "Not White crew" as they lord the likes of Vida Guerra/ Jennifer Lopez et al as having black in them or "they not white". They go near anything with a slight tan or mix, feel safe in the fact they can scream "but she's not White because she's Italian/Spanish/Greek...." Not knowing they are actually fuelling the KKK rheteroric that you not "properley" white if you are a Catholic and most of the above countries are. Hence why White Latino's in America are seen as "the other" because they are not WASP'S.
That is why you are so quick to find brothers making any type of excuses when they date anything but black, because they are always the first to come out with this "oh im equal oppurtunities" ie date anyting that moves even if she has one tooth in her head! Some white men say this so they look P.C, but their choice/s of partner say something else.
I remember when I was at sixth form (in Bromley) was the the only black person in my year. Was in psychology a-level class, the teacher asked who would go out with someone of a different race if yes put up your hand. Obviously everyone put up their hand, except me. The guy next to me said I was racist so I said to him so you would go out with me or someone that looked like me. He went red in the face.... I too feel strongly about keeping the African family together and will not contribute to this so called Beige Utopia

@Prince Hakeem, lol Im just glad I dont live there anymore. But seriously think it was good to toughen me up, and I when I read malcolm x autobiography I could relate, in relation to his chapter on being a mascot.
When you live amongst the wazungu, you really get to see their two- faced ways, blatant and covert racism. I believe it has made me a stronger person and but who is to say I would have turned out differently if I was brought up in the area I am living in now. Having family around you who are strong in themsleves and not self hating helps aswell. Its not like I was adopted by the wazungu! But Bromley is not a place I would bring up my children! The people are seriously strange they think Croydon is far, they will not venture out of their "ends"!
