Didn't you see what one mag did to Mariah Carey!? She don't look anything near what I see above.
She has put on weight, I have noticed in her TV appearances, red carpet etc that she looks 'chunkier', but age is a factor plus i doubt she is working out or dieting nearly as much as she did when she was modelling.
Who cares she still looks good anyway.

| well if she's eating what she wants and is therefore now her natural size and shape, I dread to think what she did to remain as skinny as she did when she was modelling, she must have been starving! she will always be beautiful though.

Why the shock? 
I think she looks a better like that than the stick-insect type which epitomises the 'super model'. To be fair though, she never fell into the category of stick insect. But hey, she looks ok.
I am sure if it was picture of 'just another woman in the street' who you saw for the first time, you wouldn't be commenting on her shape/weight. So I take it you don't see anything 'wrong' with her shape/weight as it is in the picture? You are just a bit put out by the 'change' from what you are used to.
I wonder how the discussion would have gone if a male poster started this thread commenting on 'all the weight Tyra has put on'.

Tyra has always been a heifer in waiting-she is her Mothers child after all-Tyra would have to have been extremely disciplined to maintain some sort of model physique,but its a battle she is not concerned about anymore as she has already made her bank...pun intended.
Plus this might just be one more step in her never ending quest to emulate Oprah??
Big/Slim,she's still a good looking woman,she's just gotta lose that hair.

yep her mum is not slim and tyra has always talked about her struggle to keep her weight down. have you seen her on ANTM? the camera doesnt lie, if she was any shorter she would be in trouble, fortunately she's 5ft 10 so she carries the weight...kind of.
not a big fan of tyra and i dont know what the fascination is about her with her big forehead, and all that extra weight on her lower half just makes her look like Big Bird.

oh lord at some of those pics lol. I think she still looks beautiful. I think women who are thicker and tall tall tall with a frame to pull it off are incredible and really create a presence for themselves.
As for how much weight she gained, she still looks the same from when her show started except that she's in a bathingsuit in sunlight with no makeup and a probably unfiltered camera lens as opposed to in the studio wearing tummy-corrective clothing. But anyway, she's still "average" to me.

Still beautiful, but was stunning in her "Supermodel" hayday - I don't think the extra pounds go with her.
Very "Hollywood", let yourself go then diet and exercise in time for the new video, film, TV show or Album Or perhaps she has better more important things to think about then her looks......................,plus as Exec. Producer of your own show you can always hire the best make up and lighting people and eat what you want!!
