lonely
needy
afraid i wasn't beautiful enough
sitting in the corner on the cold tiled floor
because looking in the mirror was a taboo for me
YES THAT WAS ONCE ME
bleeding
hurting
crying
slowly dying
thinking i wasn't good enough
for you, him, her, she or even ME
running
walking
dropping down in the middle of the street
you walked by but did you bother to hold my hand in my time of need?
speaking
shouting
spitting
screaming
trying to defend what was left of ME
i may not have been strong back then
but looking on the past, present, and what now is
i have become a beauty
smiling
laughing
on the inside and out i'm happy that i am no longer that girl i use to be.
