I have shown this to well over sixty people and one understood it barely. I hope someone here can understand it.

Unending complexity in infinite poetry

I may be able to use this pen to write a new world and still I would be no God in anyone’s eyes, I will simply be a man with a gift hoping that God made this world with a pen

Yesterday I killed a man for the first time and committed no crime and I revived him again only to find he was not alive

Today I created the first scientist that came after the first and the first invention ever that came after the first invention and in doing this I created my last, the last invention that will not be the last

Last week I created a beast that could but could not eat the air itself and I created immortality that lasted only as long as the eyes stare

A while back I created a human that only knew love and from him came the human that knew no hunger and from them comes hungry fantasy that can only want for reality

When I was born I began to create the man who would create the world that would be the only one where evil does not exist but that would in turn never exist without the pen I so hope exists

When I wrote this I wrote it in a mind where no sadness exists save for in these writings in which I wrote I may be able to use this pen to write a new world and still I would be no God in anyone’s eyes……

I thought that it sort of represented how the white man took what was already there, (African history and stuff) and somehow make it not only that they invented everything under the sun but they made God who did create everything a sort of by-product, hence 'still I would no God in anyone's eyes'.

There's is more I can say about it, but am I on the right track?

Think about what it means to create something with a pen.

Right, well then the only thing I can think of, is that all the subjects are about the authors creations - you know what he writes' about? confused3

Africans have lost the ability to write their own historyor rather our story. The power of the word is that you create with those words, it is a writer who desperately wants his words to be reality and does not see why to him the creations he's made are so real but real to nobody else. That's why there are so many contradictions. Basically how I feel when I try to write my own history.

Think about the things he's created vs what the world would think of them and it will make more sense.

Still thinking lol

Is it maybe about what he writes? That is something that is real to him (e.g it actually happened), but would create great controversy if he was to write it down and everyone got to know???confused3

If I write that a man named kwame killed another named robert, it is a reality that Kwame killed robert in the story but not that a man named kwame really killed robert. If I write on a piece of paper that a beast with iron teeth eats the air itself and lives only to love, does that beast exist because it was concieved, or does it not exist because of existing ideas of reality.

Also I wrote a poem that loops on one level, has no end, but on the other has a very definite end, which is fantasy and which is reality.

Those who create long for their creations to be real and yet they never are unless they're believed to be real.

Our story is one such thing, if we write it it is real if we don't it does not exist, but it always existed. It is about many things, draw reasoning from it in all ways you possibly can and you will see that I have tried and I believe succeeded in creating something very real that isn't real.

If you tell a man to pick up his balls it means more than one thing, that's what makes it difficult to understand, until you understand that what is said can mean more than one thing.

I hope I'm not confusing you. I'm glad you have taken interest. If you wish I will tell you what it means as best I can but it means many things.

Well if it means different things, (was it open to different interpretation?), then maybe one or all of my answers were correct? lol

Anyway yeah I think you would have to tell us now cos I'm bored now lol

Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you. You are absolutely right, I wrote it to have different meanings but it has a specific meaning to me which is close to my heart (trying to say this without sounding like one of those sappy men).

I love to write. I am actually in the middle of writing two novels which had to be put on hold for a long time so I could learn about African history and incorporate that into them. I always think about philosophy as well. It is one of my beliefs that to lead a good life, one must have a stable philosophy and that is what I always strive to have, to perfect.

I tried to incorporate those two aspects of self into this while keeping interpretation open. The pen is about my experience of writing. I write about two people in a loving relationship and I write in as much detail as I possibly can and yet those things that I write are never real. They are real in that they exist but they do not exist in what is commonly known as reality. The creations, the thing 'I' created, they are all real because they are concieved but they are not real because they are concieved. It is about the contradiction of existance and the questions of existance, the philosophical, and it is about creation and writing and the power it holds, the power I wish it held.

However that is only the meaning that is held dear to me. I actually had someone read the line about killing a man and not killing him, they said it was about impulse and perfection, the perfect place where you could do as you pleased and never reap what you had sewn.

It means many things as you had said but I thought you should just have as well the meaning that was held dear by the writer.

Anyway, i'm glad someone took notice and interest up until it bored you;). Thank you.

Stay blessed.

Thanks for that. I wasn't really that bored - really annoyed because I couldn't get it; but WOW to what you said! It's so deep! I actually like that (that's why I do crosswords - keep you thinking).

Check your PM.
