The only way I got it was by REWINDING! I sat there and as soon as something got confusing I replayed it over and over untill it all made sense! I dont actually remember what happened now. I do have it on video, so next time I watch it I'll come and explain it to u, unless someone else does by then.
If all else fails rent it from the video shop and do what I did! Also if u get it on DVD u can watch it forwards (or so I've been told!!) Maybe that would be easier, but have also been told it looses its impact the right way round. If u feel the need, decide 4 urslef!!

I see it ages ago, now let me see if i can remember the details...
eerrmm....This guy had his short term memory..no his long term memory erased and he remembered who was who and what
was what by tatooing himself with the information about them but
at one point he lost his memory again and was reintroduced to people who he couldnt remember their involvment in his life,so
basicly heres a guy who's screwed up, meeting his enemies and thinking they're his friends when really half of them are out to
screw him. i think he might of killed someone too, and if that aint confusing enough it goes backwards. You really have to have a
highly developed melinated brain using all 12 nueromelanin
points simultaneously with extra sensary perception
switched on super sensative like me to get it. I had to get rid of my
T.V for a year first but I'll gladly explain from memory.

This weekend............ film four is having a free view weekend. So if u have sky/cable and no film channels make the most of it!!
And it gets better!! Momento is gonna be on so heres ur chance to see it. 
Not sure which day this weekend, you do that bit!

The concept is pretty straight-forward. It's the storytelling that can through someone...
The main character (Guy Pearce) has developed short-term memory loss as a result to a violent incident which resulted in the death of his wife. The movie charts his "quest" to find the killer. Tattooing his body with messages is his way of keeping everything he learns with him after he forgets it. Other charactersin the movie are possibly diverting him from his "investigation". Do they know something? Are they taking him for a ride? Or are they just f**king with his head for a laugh (e.g. the motel receptionist)
It's really the cinematography that makes this a bloody good movie. I don't know of any movie that makes use of the reverse time-framing as well as this.
Well worth the watch!

Just read this thread a few days ago and decided to download the movie.
Must say I was very impressed and do recommend it to all. Dont see what was so complicated, but the storytelling technique and the premise of the story was so original and well executed I think that this is a very underated movie. I hadnt even heard of it untill I came across it here.
