some tipety top films in peoples lists, but i can't believe no one has put down..... The Shawshank Redemption. My all time fav flick without question.
Also up there are :
City of God (Blew me away. Watched it 3 times in one sitting)
Arlington Road (fantastic psychological thriller, with a great ending)
Minority Report (cos it messed with my mind)
The Hurricane (i thought denzil's performance in this was alot better than Training Day for which he won his oscar)
187 (just class! end of.)

I tell you a good film though, The Clash of The Titans
Thre is one heavy part in that film, when soem women is sayin how her daughter andromeda is beautiful, more beautiful then athena herself. Then the statue of Athena starts to shake and the head comes off
She then opens her eyes and says
' You dare to compare your daughters beauty to mine, and in my own temple'. That is one of THE movie scenes

Cash - you know what i like about that film, the way charlie eats the chocolate when he first gets it. He eats it like its juicy, like it tastes nice than anything he has ever eaten before. It always made my mouth water.
Yeah man i wanted that golden ticket, i was well chuffed when charlie got it though.
I also loved the ompa loompa and the messages they brought! - whats happened to kids films today eh? They are crap in comparison.
Ompa loompa didi dee, if you are smart you'll listen to me! HEAVY!
Clash of the titans - wicked film. I haven't seen it in years, so i can't remember that bit.
But that was a proper easter sunday film. I also liked Jesus of Nazereth.
What about live and let die james bond, that was my fav bond movie. Untill i started to break down the african witch doctor references. then it got on my nerves, still a good movie though!

@sista girl The film is either Menace II Society or another one I can’t remember where Larenz plays a teenager. I can’t remember the doll part ----on either film.
There was another film called "Woo" she stared in. On this film woo gets hooked up with this guy by her freaky friend (chicken LOL) and on the date things go wrong right from the get go. LOL it's been a while since I’ve watched it but boy she drove the poor man crazy.
Talking of children's film have you seen the Lion king on stage? Definitely a must see if you haven’t.
@The black prince I agree CB4 is a very funny film. Although it doesn't have the same effect on me anymore.
Who else here remember treasure island?
I watched soul plane over the weekend --- it's quite funny but predictable ----

what do you peeps think of The Brothers
It was one of the funniest, warmest films I've seen, Bill Bellamy was wondeful and unfortunately reprsents too many black mans thinking
Morris Chestnut just needs to get down with a whitey( on screen) and then he'll be the next biggest thing in hollywood. Sad I know ut what can you do
p.s. for those who watched it, dont you think chetnut completely overeacted to the situation with his girl.
Do the Right Thing. Isnt Radio Raheem one of the best charcters ever!!!!!!
School Daze plays that light/dark thing very well. However, The ending both blows and sucks( to quote bart simpson)

I LOVED THE BROTHERS I HAVE SEEN IT 3 TIMES. It is just really good the way in which they represent 4 different types of men, and show their relationship with each other and the women in their lives. That little comedian is funny, and his wife was classic. What about his mum! Too many jokes.
Classic moments, when the white girl was going to karate bill belamy
when the little comedian, was cussing about his wife not giving him head
when the little comedian's mum asked him if he is high! Soooo funny!
I don't think chestnut over reacted, its because of the relationship he has with his dad. ANd the fact that his girl didn't tell him, he had to hear it by accident, like she had somehting to hide. I could understand his reaction. But i could also see that he was being unfair to her, because it was before they met!
WICKED FILM - better than the best man.
And Morriss is too sexy for words, so it gets a from me!

ok, these are your top 3 favorite movies. I can't really do myself justice without listing at least my top five, but I wanted to narrow it down:
American Histroy X - I think every high school kid needs to see this one
The Fifth Element - THis movie has all the fun elements of life for me. Cute girls, comedy, aliens and space. And Gary Oldman who can do no wrong.
Spirited Away - Amazing movie. Simply amazing. I saw it in the theatres twice by myself cause no one thinks anime is worth watching.

Fave - Equilibrium:
When this movie first came out, I dismissed it as a Matrix-clone, but having caught it on Sky, I have to admit liking it more than I expected. It has holes in the plot (would Emily Watson REALLY have feelings for Christian Bale, after knowing that he was directly responsible for her lover's death) but the action scenes kicked ass!! I just hope that the urge to make a sequel is strongly resisted...
Anyway, I'm sure you folks have your own faves/crap movies so feel free to state them.
