That movie is too heavy, it had everything I like in films... fighting, monsters, explosions, spaceships etc and it had nothing I don't like romance, sentimentality, emotional yawn inspiring monologues... perfect!

Terminator 2 being a close second for me though.

I don't get how the Godfather movies are masterpieces we're supposed to universally laud and fawn over but New Jack city is evil? Those racist Italian guys might dress in cool suits and yeah I enjoy the movies but I don't see why one bunch of evil criminals are above another. For the topic yeah Godfather 2 is better than 1 but I never went mad for those flicks in the first place. Better than Aliens or Terminator 2? Not for me.

Cash I liked Rocky 1 cos it was realistic. Rocky only wanted a shot at the champ and his goal in the fight was merely to last the distance with Apollo. He did that and he lost in the end and that was cool. Besides the drama and plot was far more inspiring.

I loved the Rocky sequels but because they were funny comedies whereas Rocky 1 was a serious sports drama.

For me Rocky 3 with Clubber Lang aka Mr T was the best. I just remember thinking "no-one is going to beat Clubber". The special effects on his punches had me convinced even though Rocky was always going to win.....lol.
