Yep, this is a damn good start. Tavis' organization outlined 10 points of interest specificially for the African-American Community. At this site, you can pick any of those areas and look for organizations near you that are trying to make an impact. Some of these organizations are multinational. Again, some are in Europe, Africa, etc.

Everyone here can take a look and see what interests them. Folks should be able to find areas where they can either volunteer time, give money, etc.
