judging from that costume design...
ithat movie looks like its gonna be anything but cool...
..
i mean dude looks like he's wearing christopher reeves cosume... yes the actual one reeves wore...
looks mighty washed out....
and that dude looks puny...

where are his arms abs and chest???

because superman is a popular hero...
...
but seriously look at the mans boots... they not even clean...
man if nobody didnt tell u... u would have no idea that movie is being made in big big 2006...
man costume reminds me of that back in the day batman and robin... with adam west.....
but yeah it will b better than xmen 3 i think...
but not because it will be good..
but because x men 3 will be bad..
so by default yes..most likely

Whoever takes the role will be cursed like Christopher Reeve. Even the pot belly man they used to have on saturday mornings (black and white) got frigged up in the end.
And yeah the suit is dated.. even Spidey revamp his image. But then Mrvel and DC is like comparing a Rolls with a old Beetle.

yes that suit is well dated....
sometimes i wonder what the directors of this movies are on...
i mean ould it kill them or affect the movie in anyway... to just make the characters look like the comic icons... they are suppsed to be potraying...
that guy is the wost superman i have ever seen... chistoper reeve looked better...

its impossible... not to notice the gyal boots he's wearing... which are not clean... his boots supposed to be red..
his whole getup looks dingy.. like its the exact costume... he got hand me down from chris reeve...

| Remember the cape,boots and rest of the costume were made from materil from his spacecraft from Krypton.The boots were rubber from the padding,thus the color.Because it was from his hmeworld the uniform was supposed to be indescructible.

| It's the most money ever spent on a movie so I think they've put some serious thought into it. I think Smallville is actually ok but the guy who plays Clark Kent in Smallville would'nt be stuitable for the big screen, from what i've seen ie trailers it looks great loving the background music from the original superman movies.

Superman trailer looks good. He is one of my favourite superheros. But sorry to say the new superman isnt beefy enuf for me and they could have revamp the suit it looks a bit dull reminds me of the suit he wore when he turned evil and dark.
For me there will only be one superman Christopher reeve RIP. and i shall be thinking of him when i drag my 9 yr old son to see the film.
Hopefully there will be some comic element to the new film as there was in the previous films but from the trailors this looks a bit too serious.

I was wrong. I've seen the trailers now and they are not going to start from the begnning! They are going to continue with the same story arc from the original Superman movies.
This is my opinion is a great thing. They don't have to annoy me by doing it all over again and can just get to the flying straight away. Also they are using the original music and theme song which is another good thing.

So glad there not going to start from the beginning. it would be a bit daft as were on to the 4th one now and everyone knows the story.
I still think it looks too serious and the comic element will be lost the one with richard pryor was so funny and the guy who played lex luther.. his side kick and the dizzy blonde were great.
lets see just how special the effects are.
I also think that Smallville on E4 is good.

Wasn't interested in this film before, but I am now.
The trailer looks good and Kevin Spacey is in it (one of my fave actors!)
I didn't know it was a remake, just assumed it was a whole new story
