Could it be that the Wachowsky brothers have discoverd some sort of huge secret and are trying to tell us something subliminally through their films??
This is a movie I definately want to see but I hate it when there is a packed cinema and people are making noise when there is a movie i want to see, si I will wait for a few weeks. I'll avoid people in the cantine talking about it who have already seen it.................

went to catch tis one today and the Denzel one(Inside Man) and I felt that Denzel one was pure crap
but will give my opinion on V first here
First I liked its soundtrack which was pure gold Jazz classics which he kept playing from a Wurlitzer jukebox esp Julie London's "Cry Me a River."
Secondly there are ideas in this film and the most pointed is V's belief: "People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people." I am not sure V has it right; surely in the ideal state governments and their people should exist happily together (only if there is JUSTICE) and fear in either direction must lead to violence. But V has a totalitarian state to overthrow, and only a year to do it in, so he improvises a revolution.
Thirdly,This film reflected a what would be 2020 the year of perfect vision, and to no one's disappointment, America has collapsed in chaos(YES America is described as FORMER united States of America) awash in secret detention camps and biological weapons (including avian flu), the U.K. is a Muslim-phobic fascist state (Qu'ran consigned to the Ministry of Objectionable Material) ruled by a fascist Chancellor who came to power in a biological Reichstag
Fourthly, i liked it when V bombed OLD BAILEY...since I expected the house of Parliament where they pass laws on ID cards and curb on our civil libeties..well at least in fiction but also you will also notice the power of PROPAGANDA so we still have some sort of MATRIX idea esp after the bombing of old Bailey,immediately what ordinary pple in pubs and home got was the FAKE NEWS which went up into a major damage control, bragging that it was an intentional demolition job...(Remember Martin Sixmith and a GOOD DAY TO BUSSY BAD NEWS on that morning of 9/11?)
Fifth, I am sure for those who have read the works of Gramsci,Negri,Hardt,then this is a good way to have a edutainment
ohhh I liked the cinematography as well..if you liked how Neo dodhed those bullets then you gonna love how knives roll on this one

| ehhh, this film was crap to me. Alot of melodrama and conversing when there should have been more action. There wasnt enough character developent for the hero.
