i like the movie but i am a lil' bit bias because i watched "the sword of gedeon" when i was a kid and ever since i am fascinated by this topic.of course we shouldn't forget about the unproven background and details of the incidents which Spielberg takes as facts.
but i just love the idea that a gov takes revenge and kills the people responsible for the killing of citizens..

Yeah I see your point.. but you also note that towards the end, when the man was asking about all the people that he killed, whether they really had anything to do with the actual event... the man's reply wasn't so clear, becuase they didn't have a concrete evidence, everything was based on speculation..
The whole situation was about showing the world that they are not soft, which ironically is what the opposition where doing..
I must admit I felt quiet uncomformtable on my bed after seeing it ...

yep...but i am pretty relaxed when it comes to the FBI or CIA, they won't catch my ass but i don't wanna mess with the Mossad...i guess they have a list of every person in this world who has ever made a joke about jews..

It's a brilliantly made film.
I'm not an intellectual so I can't go into all of the religious/political history of Israel. I actually didn't learn that much from this film but then I don't think that is the point of it. What I found was the message at the end summed up what I already thought about the situation, in that the fight is endless and it makes for a hopeless situation. Added to that is the confusion of who is fighting for what, how many small factions are there that are crossing each others paths in their conflict of interests and how many brilliant individuals have died and will die. That's war for you.

extremley beautiful to watch and brilliant acting.
It was however very bias and if I were Palestinian would not be happy.
