"The X-Men, mutant heroes sworn to defend a world that hates and fears them, are back! Sounds like a cross between dark phoenix saga, legacy quest and so on. Interesting. Apocalypse used that trick of the "cure" for mutations once. It's how he tricked certain man into being horsemen.
The big dude to Magnetos right is Juggernaught, played by Vinnie Jones LOL!
Beast (Henry McCoy) is played by Kelsey Gramar... Dr Fraiser!! lmao
I swear the little girl inbetween colossus and Iceman is supposed to be Kitty Pryde. Dunno who is left of Beast, maybe Sage?
I don't like the look of Angel (warren worthington III). Too young and boyish.
Stacy X, Calisto and Psylocke. I don't know why Calisto is not wearing an eye patch. I have no idea why Psylocke is not as pretty as she is supposed to be. Or why she is dressed like that. Worse, I heard Psylocke is a baddy in this movie which is just DUMB.

| I think he looks alright as Juggernaut. Obviously nobody is gonna be that big... but I think he will capture the mood of the character. I think they gonna make Juggernaut a mutant (based on that storyline) because I don't think they'll have time for all that gem of cytorak business...

Hmmmmm....dunno about this one. I just hope it's a decent flick cos I've seen the trailer and it doesn't do much for me. Also isn't it on it's third director now?
And they can bring Beast in this installment but not Gambit?

| Beast is a more important X man character than Gambit. He was there from way before. Gambit is not that much of a central character like Beast. Beast was an avenger too.

Angel is one of the original X men dude.
Though as I said, I don't like the look of him in this movie. Looks too young and boyish. Warren Worthington is a big time businessman worth silly money. Not some breakfast club wannabee.
I think Juggernaut will be cool. If anything Beast looks silly. It's a shame because Mystique looks good in blue and so did nightcrawler in the previous movie but Beast just looks dumb. He has blue fur not a blue skin face lmao. Psylocke looks rubbish and I'm not happy she is a baddie.

Awww I was hoping Gambit would be in the movie. Gambit and Rogue were always my favourite characters. I can't wait to see Rogue when she gets her full powers. I wonder if they'll make it so that she steals them from the Phoenix (even though in the cartoon she stole it from that superwoman like lady). Also, does anyone know if they're showing that princess from Space in this one too since they're dealing with the Phoenix? I've always found Jean Grey an annoying character except for when she was the Phoenix. I don't like Halle Berry as Storm though. She's a bad actress...I wished they had found an unknown black woman to play storm....not her. But anyway, I can't wait to see it. Thankfully May 26 isn't that far away. Lilandra of the Shi'ar will not be in the movie. They will change it so phoenix is an evolution stage of Jeans natural mutation, not a cosmic entity possessing her. So no Empress Lilandra, no Shi'ar and no M'kraan crystal. It might be changing the story but I don't mind because that would make the movie take AGES and wouldn't really be feasible.
Rogue took her powers from Ms Marvel (Carol Danvers) but I doubt that would be in the movie as it would mean explaining all about Ms Marvel in the first place which would be silly.
I don't think they will make this Rogue of the movies anything like the comic or cartoon rogue. She is hardly as confident and has a completly different personality.
I think you have to take the movies as something waaaaay different to the marvel histories and accept it on that basis.
btw I used to be annoyed with Jean as well. Always fainting and stuff, very vexing. I also thought she was bad for Cyclops cause she put him off but then she was always useful in battles.

The current Rogue looks kind of young, and certainly far less attractive than the cartoon. I was hoping that she was just Rogue as a child and they would zoom into the future and use some hot girl instead of whatever her name is.

Yeah the fem who plays Rogue is the same chica that was in the movie with the geese, Fly away home, way back when (she was like 10 in that I think). I remember having to watch that in one of my classes in elementary school. I too was hoping that they would age her and make her more confident...but yeah i think she is supposed to be "young" Rogue...maybe they'll make her go bad and side with Mystique, but I doubt it for the same reason that Drunk gave for as to why they probably won't give her her full powers.
I'm really excited that the Beast is in this movie. I used to love his character and Kelsey Grammar looks awesome!

They already made rogue a goody so that story is already different from marvel history.
Rogue was raised by mystique within the brotherhood and was a baddie BEFORE going over to Xaviers side.

Marvel is kinda complicated for the unitiated lol.
There is the official marvel history which is from the comics. This is the MARVEL UNIVERSE which encompasses all the lines from Fantastic four and Captain america, avengers, spiderman, hulk, daredevil and of course X men. It's more than 50 years old and has continuity. That means what happens in one line affects all the other lines. They have cross overs and so on as well. Being that some of the comics are OLD there is a lot of history there.
Then we had the cartoons. I'll keep it to X men here but what I say goes for Hulk, Spiderman also. There history and back-story for these things is way too much to fit into series of cartoons. Therefore they summarised it and skimmed over the best major storylines of the comics. So we had dark phoenix saga, days of future past, night of the sentinels and so on. But obviously not as detailed. The cartoons then are similar to the MARVEL UNIVERSE with some slight small deviations.
In 2000 Marvel decided to renew it's universe with the ULTIMATE UNIVERSE. The started some key lines namely Spiderman, X-men, fantastic four and the avengers now renamed as the ultimates. The stories are not merely repeats of the old ones but made relevant for our times and era. The artwork is very different too. Ultimate Universe titles now outsell Marvel universe titles but Marvel is still pushing both seperate comics. I'm not completely switched over to Ultimate universe. I still get the occasional marvel universe stuff because it's still the main authentic stuff but can't deny that Ultimate is now more fun.
TheX-men evolution was a cartoon that was just a mistake. It had no bearing with marvel or ultimate universe.
And they had the Movies. Now they had to make these stories different. Very much so. The spirit of the stories is there but because they are old and interdependant on waaay too many characters from other lines it simply HAD to be changed. We look at the movies as being inspired by the comics but not having the marvel universe history. We must accept that they are quite different.

With Captain Picard at the helm, the film will have the edge it needs to carry on it's great story line. I take it you won't see it, so I will give you a review after I've been to see it.
