Bear in mind though that thehistorys posted by Prince Hakeem relate to the comics only.

The movies for the sake of brevity and clarity have discarded or done away with most of those historys.  They have also tampered and tinkered a little bit too.

You could say the movies are loosely based on the comic historys posted but in no way identical.

I see what you mean, and I'll have to agree with you on that one, looks like the dialogue is a tad lightweight..... but none-the-less.

It was really so and so for me. Not what i expected but i guess with that Bret guy on the director's chair, it was inevitable that the film would be all washed down. The only good thing i guess was that Storm finally got to play a bigger role than in the last 2 instalments.

If it wasn't for the booze i sneaked in and a very sexy chest to lean on, i would have just fallen asleep halfway...;)

Miss Nellia 8.5 out of 10? u sure bout that sis? I watched x3 on Thursday and I'm still shaking my head with disappoinment.I knew it might be a lil crusty but nah, they need to come better than that and do another one to make up for it!!

I admit the film had some good fight scenes but it dragged, it was weak, I was expecting better. When the lights came back up quite a few people were still sitting down just watching the credits I think they were so disappointed they were dumb-struck and couldn't get up!!

What was up with Jean's appearance when she was doing her thing? she looked like a kid from Children of the Damned!!

Storm's character did better, but she still seems like she is not at her full potential/likes she's holding back her powers/fight skills.

The very last scenes-o please!, they were just trying to be slick.

I bet Ph is going to be cussing when he posts. lol

Ahh you see they knew something you didn't know. If you had stayed behind then you would have known what they already knew
 ;)

But it's strange you say it dragged on because a lot of people were saying it was too short.

8.5? That is so unfair. I would give it a 9. :(:(

But basically it got mixed reviews from movie goers, this is understandable for those who  werent avid X-men fan(atic?)s before the movies hit the screen. It could have that effect. Brett pulled no punches, the effects were stunning, the body count was massive, and Iceman? Damn!!!  Personally, I couldnt get enough and it has just knocked spidey 2 of the  top of the list of my best comic films. The new superman movie definitely has its work cut out for it.

Those that waited after the film  to watch credits had a reason to. And it was worth the wait in my opinion.

@Huzzah & Dark cloud

I take it you both enjoyed it then, good, I thought it was just brill, the fight scenes and special effects were stunning, was NOT expecting the story to have those twists, I think they did a good job.

Don't want to spoil it, but I think you would have to be a sci-fi fan or fan of the x-men to enjoy the film.

So 3niceone.gif  and 2      thus far

 :D:D:D Keep em c'ming folks
..... still waiting for PH and DM to arrive.

(if they're still not mad at me):D

Well .....

I am not a Marvel nut like some on the board & some people I know BUT I loved the cartoon from back in the day.

Now personally I thought X1 & X2 were poor films if you want BLUEPRINT on how to do a Marvel adaptation you only have to watch Spiderman 2.

X3 is the best of the 3 X films, I sat there at the end wanting more which is always a good sign.

IF THERE IS ONE REGRET I HAVE ABOUT X3 IT IS THAT THEY COULD NOT WORK THE SENTENALS INTO THE SCRIPT.

Considering all the problems they had with Singer I think Ratner did a good job.

Everyone played there parts well ........ yes Angela Basset would have made a better Storm but Halie did a decent job.

For me the film works because of two actors

Sir Ian Mckellen & Kelsey Grammer

Sir Ian is just AWESOME as magneto. Every film needs a strong bad guy & in a lot of ways he carries the film.

Kelsey Grammer for me plays the Beast I know in the cartoon to a T. It just works because of Grammer no need for CGI.

Just a small word about Vinnie Jones as Juggernaught. There is not much there for an "actor" to work with but what he does he does it well. I love the line " Do you know who I am ? Im Juggernaught byatch "

7.5 out of 10

I would tend to agree with you, X3 was definately better than X2 at least, wasn't convinced by Vinnie Jones' performance, and a BIG yes to Angela Bassett as storm, that woman would have bought feeling to the Storm character, but Halle did a decent job.

score now

So 4niceone.gif  and 2      thus far

Just seen Xmen 3  a few hours ago  i give it  8/10 clp) Special xfects  good .Best scene for me the power struggle in the house wow really intense.

OMG  the whole cinema laughed when Juggernaught,  vinnie jones  appeared  he played a good part but he could have been beefier.  Ian mckellan  magneto    fab as always .  poor magneto at the end felt so sorry for him with the chess peice. yes and i stayed till the end of credits  great twist.

On the whole enjoyed it from start to finish. Wolverine hes the man. Glad halle got a bigger part.

I agree with the voice bit. They could have put it through some vocal effects machine to make it more deeper and more menacing.
