What can I say I loved it.

I have not laughed out like that for a long time.

I dont know what it is but Vince Vaughan seems to excel in what ever he does at the moment.

I loved the movie as well and Vince Vaughn definitely stole the show.  He was hilarious especially when he was talking about "starting the car" in order to get away from the crazy virgin lol.  And then when the gay son was on top of him and he was playing it off like it was okay.

He was the star of the show.  However, he looked kinda scary with the the large bags under his eyes and his height (I think he's like 6'5)  He looked like a beady-eyed zombie...but he was more funny than scary lol.

What is it about?

It looked like either a gross out teen comedy (like american pie) or a sweet romcom...

either way it put me off.

It's about a couple of guys who go to weddings (and funerals occasionally) to pick up girls who are ready to be married after the "buzz" of just attending a wedding themselves.  So the guys prey on the weakness to find "the right man" and rack up one-night-stands until they go to the wedding of a powerful man's daughter and meet his other daughters who are interesting characters themselves and everything changes for the playboys...

but it is a good story with a good ending.  Plus you will laugh your ass off.

People please please save your money. This one is definitely not worth seeing.
Rubbish plot and acting.
Not my kind of humour at all.
I was just hoping it would end sooner.

To me it was just boring.
I think the director may have been going for a "Meet the Parents" style film, but it flopped spectacularly in my opinion.

The two main characters seemed like they were trying too hard to be funny (especially in the very first scene) and at times, it looked like they were improvising... badly!

And then there was the unecessary foul language which wasn't adding to the humour.

Also there was a funeral crashing part of the film that seemed to be there just to take up some time and it wasn't funny.

I tried not to say too much in case you still want to go see it! It's just not my type of film. I would have walked out and got a refund if I hadn't been with other people at the time.

hmmm..  When I saw it there was hardly any "dead time" during the movie.  The theater was packed and there was loud laughter throughout the movie.  The "foul language" that aurora speaks of was fitting since it was an R-rated movie not suitable for kids.... or overly conservative adults...

All I can say is I loved the film.

I was not sure if I should go to see it because I was scared it was one of those films where they show all the best bits in the traller.

BOY WAS I GLAD I SAW IT.

The best £6 I spent in a while.

@Timeline
In the UK the film has a different rating from the US.

Certification: Ireland:15A / UK:15 / USA:R / Canada:13+ (Quebec) / Germany:12 / Canada:14A (British Columbia/Manitoba/Ontario) / Canada:14A (Alberta) / Australia:M (re-rating after appeal)

Well it looks like the majority are liking the film.
Maybe I just expect too much from a film, cos I thought Wedding Crashers was poor quality for a comedy.

@AURORA

THANK YOU

It's structurally and tonally all over the place and not all the characters work but they just about get away with it & the grandma wasn't really necessary, and the weird brother didn't need to be gay to be funny.I enjoyed it for 20 mins  this but I wasn't bowled over. I think they compromised too much on trying to appeal directly to men and women (all the tit shots at the beginning and childish humour for the guys, the weddings and dresses for the girls) when they should have just gone for funny again  the gay brother was entirely unnecessary but I suppose that Meet the Parents had the weird brother so they had to make him a distinctly different from that weird brother. Or something.

Ohhh the only back guy in there is just a BUTLER nothing more...its a white white movie

save your money

@ Coltrane

I have to disagree.

I think the film worked on most levels.

I have to agree with you about the gay brother.

There was really no need for him BUT I feel on the whole it worked.

As for there being only one black person in the film SO WHAT !!!!!!!!

I guess it depends on your sence of humour.

I enjoyed Duce Bigalow & Dumb & Dumber ........... I am not saying its as far out as those two films, infact its quite a bit toned down from them but in the same ball park if you get my drift.
