I like Forest, he is one of my favourite actors but I didn't buy him as an assasin. It seemed silly to me!
I liked his friendship with the Haitian Ice cream man even though he didnt speak French... that was funny...
Im a big Wu fan but Rza on camera always makes me chuckle, dude takes himself SO seriously!

LOL before I watched it, it wasn't the assassin part that got me it was the whole 'samurai' business that made me think 'come again?' I just couldn't see Forest Whitaker jumping through the air and wielding swords!!
The gangsters in the movie are just pure jokes! Not one of them are under the age of 50 and Sonny Valerio being able to recite Flavor Flav's lyrics is classic! The friendship with the Haitain man and Pearline is just beautiful as well as funny.
You discover something new each time you watch the film from the old cartoons to the scene where he and the dog were just staring at each other - every scene was there for a reason and not just for the sake of it. There are so much hidden meanings it would take several watches just to get the half. That's what makes it beautiful - I love films that make you think. Its a genre in itself because you don't know whether to label it comedy, drama or action.

I enjoyed that movie, it was weird seeing Forrest as a hood assassin though but I enjoyed the flick. What do you think of Black and White by Oliver Stone?

Black and White was sh*te in every way. I don't have any clue what the writer was trying to say. It just seemed to be a 'let me show my face in front of the camera for the hell of it' type fest.
But anyways back to Ghost Dog....
