I'm a Media Student and doing research on Black Women in Film. I would be greatful you all could help me being giving me your oppinion on my question below
Do you think the recent oscar success of Hallie Berry indicate a more positive representation of Black women in film today?
Please feel free to express anything (related to the question) as it will help me with my work.
Thank you Nalini x

The first 'black' woman to win an oscar for portraying herself as a verbally and physically abusive mother and a sex starved slut who lusts after a racist peckerwood....nothing positive about that. The oscar 'achievement' only took things down another notch for African women as far as I'm concerned.
I'm just glad the wonderful Angela Basset turned down that horrible role.
