To me it was a load of rubbish, usual American dream.
There was no real element of suprise, graphics was good but that was it, I may watch it again with a 'bokle' of Brandy and may even find the film funny rather than incapsulating.
But each to their own... if you have problems sleeping at night watch this film, it will definatley put you to sleep.

Loved the special effects.
But
That was it.
Ok the film is a 12a but I would not recommend anyone under 12 watching it.
5 out of 10
Any thats for the effects.
Lets home Tom gets back on form for MI3.

It is a remake, but I can't tell you what the remake was like because I fell asleep
Anyway the remake is good, up untill the last 10/15 minutes. What the hell were they thinking when they made that ending 
Anyway its worth watching, but i've warned you about the ending

someone said there was no geek/scientist to explain about the aliens.. I too, just on that basis alone, it failed for me!! Independent Day was alot better in it's explanation of the aliens being scavengers or sutming like that ..

| Ok I don't usually message on this board but all of your hating on spielburg for the ending of this film is upsetting me. ITS A REMAKE! and people loved the original - spielburg couldnt suddenly decide to kill off the aliens using nuclear weapons (for example) because that aint the story!!. when this was written the aliens getting killed off by viruses was the best twist EVER! - ur cynical 2K5 brains are ruining the movie for u.
