Understandably, during the Nigerian election, the blunders were given plenty of airtime in the worlds media, but developments such as Nigeria being the first African country to open a space station and successfully launch a satelite into orbit recieves almost no media attention? Maybe its just me, but I havent heard anything in the news about it. Have you?

Just look at the developments...........

Human beings live in a world of scarcity, scarcity leads to conflict, “Societyâ€? first arose out of the need of man to pull scares resources together  and to find security against those others (humans and animals) that pose a threat to those resources or to use members of that society as the resources. Nevertheless, Societies, in history, never did mange to create situations of excess, so conflict continued in the form of wars, exploitation and atrocious witnessed during the entire history of humankind.

Since human dissatisfaction was and is usually born out of scarcity, modern societies in the West learned to use psychology to trick its members into believing that there is no scarcity within their society or if there is it is not as bad as scarcity within other competing societies. This psychological mastery was in itself born out of the revolutions, wars and civil strife that scared the world up to 20th century resulting in a measure of progress (alleviations of some material scarcity). In this way, many western societies have remained stable up to this post, postmodern world, managing to create, in the west, illusions of prosperity based on making relative scarcities comparisons with other societies.

It served to stabilize many western societies when huge swathes of the world lived in relative poverty. However, as mass communication, aviation and information technology made the world interdependent  and third world poverty threatened mass movement of people in need of that same land-of-relatively-less-scarcity-than-somewhere-else, namley mine, created by western psychological propaganda for home consumption, so has that ploy become less productive. Mass migration, apart from great numbers in its own sake, also has the effect of galvanizing the home population in both reinvigorating his long slumbering radical instincts (mainly due to competition) and undermining his conceit born out of exclusivity to his kingdom or relatively less scarcity.   No wonder then the race to get many third world people out of poverty as soon as possible (concentrating on Asia with its massive populations) while the psychological propaganda still has legs vis-à-vis Africa.

Anyway, maybe I should’ve just written the following in the fist place, which is: ‘News about Africa which is negative gets so much attention, but developments are simply ignored’ because negative “third worldâ€? news helps – superficially too keep the Whiteman feeling superior-  but more importantly to keep the western population docile.

...but, hay, that's just me...
